Any Deals on Ipod Touch games??

Looking to get DS games for the Ipod Touch. Any deals?? What are your fav games???

Faves in our house include Zombie Farm and Plants Vs Zombies(both cartoonish and silly fun) and the ever-popular Angry Birds. PvZ is $2.99 but worth every penny. Angry Birds is available for .99 or a Lite version can be had for free. And Zombie Farm is free. Don't know how... its a great game and a new seasonal update just dropped into iTunes a day or so ago. Great gaming platform. Even at two or three dollars, still beats out our DS habit and games that range anywhere from $20 to thirty-five !

I just went to the app store and downloaded the top 25 free ones and tried them all, then picked the few that I liked best and bought them (mostly they were $1 and $2). The free ones are mostly not the full game but just a couple levels so that you can try before you buy.

My Ipod recently crashed and I didn't realize how much room the apps actually take up. I agree with downloading the free versions to try before you buy. We had the zombie farm, Pac man, Frogger.. etc. Some apps can range from as little as $1.99 up to $25 or more for some of the most expensive games. I have the free banking ones, facebook, myspace etc...too.

Sometimes the more expensive games do go own sale. For example, Bejeweled 2 right now sells for 2.99 but a couple of months back it's company Pop Cap games decided to put games on sale to celebrate it's 10th anniversary and Bejeweled 2 was selling for .99. Occasionally the the software companies or creators of the games will put their games on sale here and there you just have to keep your eyes open for them.

How old is your son? I have lots of educational apps I use for my 5th graders (my classroom has a class set). One favorite is Stack the States, another is Brainquest grade 5, wurdle, bookworm

Angry Birds is a big hit everywhere and the regular version is free right now. Both my kids enjoy it a lot.

Battleship has also been a really big hit with all of us, Kids DH & me. There are 3 variations of the game to play against the iPod or you can play someone with the game on another iPod. That one was more expensive as far ipod games go but the graphics and playability are really great.

Definitely get the lite or free version of a game first - not only do you find out if you really like it but often can "upgrade" to the regular game for less (like .99 instead of 1.99).

My new fave is Cut the Rope. Chuzzles is fun. DS13 loves Snail Mail and Doodle Jump.
