any deals on a one-way car rental

So the plan right now is that we will be driving to Orlando on Nov 17th, spending 5 nights then headed down to Ft Lauderdale for Thanksgiving with the in-laws. Of course return flights that time of year are outrageous (250-300pp) from anywhere in Fl back to MHT, but there are $69 flights from MHT -MCO on the 17th.
Then I looked at one way car rentals from MCO-MHT....holy cow they run close to $2000

Any one ever get a good one way rental like this .....or ever get a better priced flight thanksgiving weekend?

Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving is one time when you book airfare at IPO let alone wait for a fare war.

Do you have any flexibility on date going home, like Tuesday or Wednesday after, or like very early in the morning?

Inexpensive one way car rentals are fleeting, once in awhile there is a car that needs to go from a particular place to a particular place and some lucky renter gets it.
