Any danger in transferring points if the owner doesn't pay dues?

I'm just curious what would happen in the following scenario: Let's say I purchase transfer points from an owner for 2023, and the transfer is completed now in 2022. Fast forward to 2023, the owner defaults on his dues. Does anything happen to my points?

No. The recipient is not responsible for dues on transferred points. Once they are in your account, they are yours.

Any default by the original owner after the transfer is an issue between Disney and that owner.
