Any dance groups dance at Downtown Disney?

Has anyone danced at Downtown Disney's Waterside stage? My daughter's dance school has been accepted to dance in March 2012They are extremely excited....I am helping to plan the trip and was hoping I could talk to someone who has done this recently and ask a few questions... Any help would be great!!

My studio has danced at Downtown Disney once before about 2 years ago, and we're going back, coincidentally, in March of 2012!

It's an amazing experience, one that I'll always remember. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me and I'll answer them best I can.

My daughter did this in 2008...It was called Magic Music Days not sure if its still called that now. They danced where the stage was in tomorrowland. Its an awesome program, they got to practice with a CM performer and goofy showed up and danced with them. tickets are really cheap and so were the rooms. Plus she got to go to disney with all her friends. Your daughter will absolutely love the experience.

My daughter's Dance school is going in July (week of the 4th ugh: ) I too am looking for insight on this. She will get to dance in a parade, and perform on stage at Hollywood studios. She and all of her dance friends are soo excited, but I'm a little apprehensive, as I know it's not the ideal time to go, and we will be there with all the other dance schools as well.

Any help would be appreciated!

My DDs dance school has done this twice in the past, in 2005 and 2008. We performed in Tomorrowland. We are going June 2012 and doing the parade like PP. Our trips all went thru World Class Vacations, they arranged everything and there was one contact person at the school (a parent) that coordinated all the families. It was a lot of work for that one person though (we did have 200 people the first time and about 125 the second time). It was not cheaper. I broke down the cost and we pretty much paid rack rate at the values and full price for park tickets. I am not sure if you were required to use that travel company (they do a lot of school trips according to their werbsite) but if you were accepted to dance, they should tell you that. And soon because March 2012 is not that far away. I would want to get my flights booked soon if that's how you are traveling, especially since that is spring break time. The dance workshop one PP mentioned was really fun, that was an extra cost but not much and well worth it according to the girls and teachers.

My sons' HS band looked into using a TA for a WDW trip and the cost came in at around $200 more than just doing it ourselves.

The two trips we did were easier because we took buses down, two for the first trip and one for the second.

I coordinated all the travel arrangements. It was actually very easy if you don't have to fly.

• Hire a bus for the week approx $7,500
• get some hotel rooms at a dead time, late Feb after Pres day and before any spring break Easter stuff. Offsite, way cheaper and you can get a free breakfast. $89 a night for small suites with two queen beds
• get 3 day YES tickets and meal gift cards (the CS meal vouchers aren't always worth it) from Disney. $125 per ticket $15 per card
• have pizza delivered for first night
• line up security for overnight watches. This was the hardest part once there making sure the people show up and know what to do.

Adding flights though would probably double the amount of work. I knew band parents with other much larger bands and I would go crazy since they had to spread out the kids over two flights. They also flew out the last night late and had to be at school the next morning.

My DD8's dance team danced there last month and it was a lot of fun! What a great experience for the kids!!

We're headed back there this year for the girls to dance in the Christmas parade!!!!
