Any creative ideas for a 70th Bday gift?

We are having a very lovely dinner party with approx. 26 people for my Mother-in-Law to celebrate her 70th birthday. I would love to do something special for her as a gift...something personal. We had a 70th for FIL last December and put together an album of photos of his life so far..I want to do something different for my MIL. DD-17 suggested everyone come up with a fond memory and we could type them up and put them in a pretty book, but I'm not sure I could get everyone to submit something.

Anyone care to share any ideas you may have done for someone? I'd love to hear any!

we did a digital picture frame with music for my parents 50th anniversay in June. It was really neat to watch the pictures of their life together set to music!

I prefer the photo book idea. You could get fancy with it and do a Creative Memories book.

If you want to add the personal memory idea to the book that would be great. Have them send a picture with the memory.
As it standing alone, it will be kind of flat as a gift, imo.

I like your DD's idea. Even if everyone doesn't submit you can still do something. Another idea would be to do the reverse and get a nice blank book for your mom and have her put HER memories in that-if she likes to do that kind of thing. Maybe you could do a few memory jog things at the top of some of the pages like "My favorite summertime memory as a child" or " My favorite elementary school memory".
