Any coupons for the Crazy Crab or discounted gift card options at Hilton Head?

Know of where to find coupons for the Crazy Crab or any other good seafood dining spots at Hilton Head? Are there any discounted gift card options to be had?

We don't eat at the Crazy Crab, so I'm not sure if there are coupons out there or not. Most places we eat at offer a 10% DVC discount (Guisseppi's, Poseidon, The Black Marlin, Lowcountry Backyard, Old Oyster Factory, etc.), so if you are a DVC member that will work. As far as discounted gift card options, I don't know of any except there are a couple of restaurants on restaurant.com and you could also buy discounted Disney gift cards and use them at the counter-service restaurants on-site. Many restaurants offer early-dining specials as well.

Not a DVC member, not yet. So even though I am staying at Hilton Head DVC it will only be as a guest, this time.

We just got back from HHI and ate at three of the SERG Restaurants; Black Marlin, Marley's and One Hot Mama. All three gave DVC discounts and none asked to see my card.

We loved all three, but especially like the Black Marlin.

So, did you just ask about the 10% discount? I seen the advertisement for this discount last year, and just assumed it was if you were staying there, not really realizing it was for DVC members.

I had been told by the resort's concierge that these restaurants gave the discount.

I haven't been to HHI in awhile , but ask at the front desk for brochures. Look at a grocery store for pamphlets. Check to see if the restaurant has it's own website. Hhidining.com used to have good coupons.

I have the shrimp plate with fries and coleslaw and hush puppies at Crazy Crab as you come on the island every time I go.

I've never seen a discount for it. I'm really not looking for one, as it is relatively inexpensive to begin with, so there may be coupons out there. It's listed on Groupon so you could watch there for a groupon.

I noticed lunch options are a lot cheaper than dinner, so we will do lunch.

I also just thought about how many of the HHI restaurants are on opentable.com. If you make reservations on that site, you can earn points that will later turn into a restaurant GC.

Keep an eye on the Savannah/Hilton Head Groupon page. Occasionally, some of the restaurants in Shelter Cove (right next door to the resort) will run Groupons.

Have you heard about Skull Creek Boathouse. We found out about this place from our kayak guide. Its a local place, great food, and busy. If you can make reservations do it, if not expect about an hour wait. But for us it was worth it. I will be making this a must have next time we are down.
