I posted this on the Nikonian forum also and thought I would see if you guys have any knowlegde. I took som pics of the moon tonight in raw and when viewing them in PSP ultimate the image quality is VERY grainy and blown out, I mean terrible, not useable at all. Seems to only do this when the background is totally dark. Other raw files taken under lit conditions are fine. Also if I view the files using Microsoft Photo Gallery they appear normal. Anybody had this happen with PSP?

have you checked your default preferences

there is a setting to open raw images with smart photo fix, perhaps that is happening..??

Just checked it, it is not enabled. I am going to uninstall Ultimate today and install the old PSP X2 and see what happens.

What camera are you using? I had no problems with the RAW files from my D40 but the D90 they're this weird green color.:confused3 I've read several programs don't support the D90 yet, I just assumed this was my issue.

I'm using a D80. All my other photo's are fine in RAW. It's the ones that have solid black backgrounds that are giving problems. I have confirmed that PSP Ultimate is the culprit. The images look fine the previous version of PSP X2. I have emailed Corel for help, we'll see.
