A friend of mine (I promise it isn't me!) has a son that forgot the password to the family computer and she can't figure out how to take it off. I remember looking at it, and I think she has the newest form of Windows, I know it isn't 98, 2000, or ME.
It's the password that comes up as soon as you reboot the computer, and no we can't click "cancel" and it go away............
To make matters worse, she doesn't have the software for it anymore. From what I understand someone put the new Windows on her computer and he took the software with him.
A computer nerd friend I have came over and tried to open up the hard drive, said there was a button/lever to push inside to disable it---there wasn't.
Any suggestions?
