Ok, after huge through I think I've narrowed it down as folllows....

Saturday on arrival - Earl of Sandwich

Saturday evening - Billy Bobs/la grange - can you see the show from the restaurant?

Sunday evening - Rendezvous des Stars

Monday evening - Plaza gardens buffet OR Silver Spur steakhouse - what do you recommend?

Tuesday - Planet Hollywood (as we've never been)

We're staying at HNY and aim to max our breakfast plus visit Salon Mickey after extra magic hours so will probably only need the odd snack in between:thumbsup2 This is the first time we've been in Summer, so we're planning on returning to the hotel mid-day to use the pool and let the craziness die down a bit before returning for the eveing. Will that work or is the craziness all day?:confused3

TIA!

Well you've got a fair range of choices there - its very hard to narrow things down isn't it?

Two points though; I don't think Rendezvous des Stars is open in the evening and although Silver Spur has lovely food the service can be incredibly slow.

Call the reservations line about Rendezvous des Stars - thats the only way you'll know opening times for your visit.

Plaza Gardens was really good last week so I thoroughly reommend it :thumbsup2

If your on about the live music at Billy Bobs then I don't think you will be able to see it on the buffet floor but usually you can hear it & I think they have tv screens showing it.

Restaurant des Stars shuts at 4pm every day as its in the Studios

It is hard to choose, isn't it!

You could either eat at Restaurant des Stars lunchtime/late afternoon or else you could skip it altogether (a shame as little Remy is so sweet) and that way you'll be able to eat at both Plaza Gardens and Silver Spur.

We ate at Planet Hollywood one trip and even though the reviews had been dire we really enjoyed it, the food was really nice.

Did you decide against Inventions in the end?

And yes, returning to the hotel for a rest during the day works really well in the summer as the parks are open so late. I much prefer going then even though it does mean crowds and queues - I think the positives far outweigh the negatives.

Thanks all! DH decided Inventions was just toooooo expensive - and as I can spend a lot when I put my mind to it:rolleyes1 I thought I'd rather have a bit more to spend in the shops (but he hasn't realised that yet......) Also as kids are 12 and nearly 19 they're not so much about the characters - the ones in the HNY and any we happen across int he parks will be fine:thumbsup2

May well have a late lunch at Studios to see Remy - we'll prbably be ready for it!

How are the bar snacks at Billy Bobs? Is it worth having that and seeing the show rather than a buffet and seeing it on a screen :confused3 DH is very keen on the live music, and as a bar snack would be cheaper he might well favour that option.

Thanks again!! I'd be quite happy to book a lunch and dinner every day, but would need new trousers:rolleyes: and a new bank account:eek:

Hello again Mazda,

We managed to grab free dining so these are our restaurant choices:

EOS on arrival for dinner followed by Hunters Grill in the evening (we are staying at SL).

Annettes for late bfast/lunch followed by Cafe Mickey

Blue Lagoon for lunch followed by Pizzeria Bella Notte for tea

Cowboy Cookout for lunch followed by Cafe Hyperon for tea

Colonal Hathis for dinner followed by La Grange at Billy Bobs

Fuento Del Oro for lunch followed by Cafe Mickey for dinner

Annettes Bfast for bfast followed by Restaurant en Coulis for midday lunch

As you can tell we love Annettes and we find it very reasonably priced. The breakfast is amazing and served between 10am and 1pm! We also find Agrabah very good and filling and the atmosphere is lovely. We nearly had it on our list but were using the free dining as an opportunity to try new places. We are also opting for Billy Bobs. We have never been before so not sure what the atmosphere in the bar will be like with 3 children so we will test out the restaurant first. It would be nice if we could find some music to enjoy!
