Does anybody know if they are going to be offering any codes now that they have the MYW packages? I'm thinking of another trip and was curious to know if anybody has heard anything? Will the codes stop now that they have changed things around? Thanks for your replies. I know that If anybody knows, these boards are where I am going to find my answer!!

Yippee........I found my answer. I just needed to read a little more and saw similiar threads regarding my question. I think I'm going to HAVE to book another trip. :smooth:

Thanks anyway everybody!! :cool1:

At this time, only AAA is offering discounts on the myw + dining. You have to book directly through AAA. Maybe there will be more disounts later?

I've called my local AAA and they don't have the information yet. What is the discount from AAA?

Estherhead,
I'd suggestcalling another AAA office. Go to their website and look up office locations. AAA just came out with a new brochure for 2005. I don't know why that office said they don't have info yet.
With this new package, they take off % of the room portion as follows:
Value and Moderate Resorts:
Value season = 20% Regular season = 15% Peak season = 15%

Deluxe Resorts:
Value season = 15% Regular season = 10% Peak season = 10%

Ft Wildernes Resort:
Value season = 20% Regular season = 15% Peak season = 10%

There are some other things thrown in this package ($25 disney dollars, AAA preferred parking at the parks, lounge area in parks), but nothing earth shattering.
When you get your quote from AAA, calculate it to make sure they did take the % off the room portion of the package. Earlier this week, the computers were not taking the discount off. I think that's been fixed though.
Hope this helps

I must admit that this MYW package has me very confused. This will be the third trip that I have planned and I am at a loss about how to go about it.

We want to go in Oct and I was plannning to book. Now I don't know if I should wait for a code or just book through AAA. The AAA prices seem steep compared to what I have paid in the past with a code. Also, can you get a AAA discount with just the MYW package and no dining option?

Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

4forDis,
You can get the AAA discount on a MYW package without the dining option but I question why anyone would want to do that. You're essentially getting the room at a % off the rack rate and paying full Disney prices for the park passes. And since it's a paclage, you'll be subject to the less forgiving cancellation policies of a package.

My advise would be to book the room-only with a AAA discount and buy your passes thru Mapleleaf, Ticketmania or one of the other online ticketbrokers.

Does Mapleleaf of Ticketmania offer any discount on just park tickets, or are they the same as going thru Disney direct? It looks to be the same....

I've found that going thru Disney direct is slighty higher than Ticketmania, etc. For example, a 6-day child MYW hopping pass is:
$193 thru Ticketmania, including tax and free shipping
$197.03 thru Disney website... includes tax, but I know they have at least a $3/order processing fee. Not sure about shipping.

In the whole scheme of a Disney vacation, $7 isn't much, but it'll get me lunch. :D
