Ok...I closed last week at AKV and am still waiting to get logged into the system. I am planning a vacation May 23-29 and when I check the reservation availability log, it shows that 1 bedroom concierge is available. Do you really think that there is any hope of me getting this next week for May 26-29?

do you mean the reservation availability log here on the DVC board?

Really, you can't tell until you call MS--remember that only a small percentage of DVC members post here on the Dis. And there have even been posts that dates are that shown on that log as sold out actually end up "available"--maybe because of cancellations.

so, your best bet is to call MS tomorrow and check (or have your guide call if you aren't completely in the system yet).

I don't have a guide. I bought resale so it will be a week or two before I see that information. I will probably get logged into the system late in the week. Just not sure if anyone checked availability during that week recently.....

You may be surprised to find yourself in the system. I closed on my resale on 2/2 and called on 2/7 to add BLT points and I was in the system already. I was able to book a trip that same day.

When you call, just tell them you don't have your member number yet because you just closed on a resale contract.
