Any chance they may reconsider pool hopping suspension?

Do you think if attendance and bookings at WDW hotels remain low that the suspension of pool hopping privileges over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays might be reconsidered and lifted? One can hope, I suppose!

From what I've read, WDW resort bookings over Thanksgiving and Christmas are very good. I doubt they will reinstate the pool hopping priviledge. However, I don't see how it would hurt to ask once you check in. Maybe they'll allow it. Hope you have good weather. Last year it was too cold to swim (IMO) anyway!

Yes, Captain. They posted prior to September about the Thanksgiving/Christmas closings. I agree, especially at Christmas, that the weather will have a lot to do with how popular the pools are.

Bookings for DVC over the holidays are quite good, but there is no indication that the other resorts are anywhere near as good. For example, the deep discounts are available through December 25th and come back on January 1. In addition, the cutbacks seem to only not be affecting about three days around Christmas (e.g., look at the cutbacks in CP and the much narrower PS hours for restaurants around the holidays). Yes, the holidays will be busier than it is now, but I am not sure it will be busier than some other times of the year (like summertime) when there is greater demand for pools, just as many people, and no suspension of the privilege. I don't expect a change, but it would be nice and would be very interesting if we were surprised by a change of heart once we get there.

SOT: We just got back and the only pool we hopped to this time was the new one at Poly. We really enjoyed it. Nice slide but very dark inside. The water was a little cool.
