Maybe I should start a pool on this...
I knew it was late to order, but ordered an item from a specialty catalog that shipped yesterday that, according to the website, with "regular shipping" would take 5-9 business days to get to me. No problem, I was willing to take the chance, since expedited would have cost me $5 more than the item itself.
I get the confirmation email, and it went 3rd class USPS!! (Plus, with no tracking, so I don't even know where it is.) So, I call, and the company rep says, "9-15 business days for delivery", and offers me the chance to pay for expedited shipping on a second copy of the same item. Ummmm, nooooo.....
So I just fired off an email to their customer service, stating that I felt that if the rep was right, then the website is wrong, and THEY should pay the expedited shipping to get me one on time. If the rep was wrong (which she probably wasn't, since it went 3rd), then I'll just wait patiently.
Yes, I know I was cutting it close in the first place, but shouldn't the website have said "sent by slow boat to China, especially over the holidays", if that's true
