Being used to WDW discounts is there any history of discounts in June for on property resorts?

Sorry, I think you are out of luck. DLR does not get the same big discounts like DW. In the last few years since carsland opened, there have not been any discounts for june. With the 60th anniversary celebration happening, i doubt that they will offer antanything this year either.

Just chiming in to agree with jolly; I doubt if there will be any discounts at this point. My BFF managed to snag an AP rate at the PP for 6 nights in June but she booked late last year. I've been trying since mid-January and coming up with nothing.

Orbitz is/was running their 15% off promotion through June 30th. This is the only discount I've found to date.

There is a chance. I get email offers from Disney all of the time for discount at the DLR hotels. For a good portion of Fall-Spring there is normally a deal to be had. Summer can be another matter though. Looking back at the offers I received last year (because I'm kinda crazy & I save them all), there was one that came out in late March. Travel had to be completed by June 8th though. So, if you're going at the very beginning of June there is a slight chance. I think everything is more iffy this year though. By June, the 60th celebrations should be in full swing & it's hard to anticipate if they'll have to offer deals to fill the on property hotels at that time.

Good luck!

How do you get on an offer email list for Disneyland? We have accounts but I am sure they see us as WDW people since we often go there and live all the way across the country from DLR.

Hiya!

Could you tell me what the discount was that came out in March last year, if you have access to that info, i'd be really grateful - it might give me an idea of what discounts could be for April.

I have been told by more then one CM that if there are any discounts coming out, Disney does not usually release them until a minimum of 2 months prior to the first stay date. When I called them a month ago and reserved my room for GCH in August, I paid the full price and the CM who I spoke to said to call back in May and see if there are any discounts and then they can reimburse me accordingly.

The email said save up to 20% on rooms at a Disneyland Resort Hotel 4/20-6/8/14. The fine print said that the 20% could be applied to premium room types (better views & concierge rooms) at all 3 hotels. Or there was 15% at GCH & DL for standard rooms. The discount was only for Sunday-Thursday nights, but that could still save a nice chunk of change for most reservations.

The email was sent on 3/25. I normally get the offers earlier than the general public through my Disney Visa, but this one didn't say Visa on it anywhere. So, that was probably the date of the general release.

For everyone that wanted a discount for DL in June, this just came out for Disney Visa cardholders. Our lead time on discounts is normally around 3-7 days. So, this should be hitting the general public soon....

Anyone want to let me in on how to get emails from Disneyland regarding discounts. We may go back next spring, rather than summer if we can get a good deal.

We are going from June 15-21 and the Disney website shows DLH and GC are both unavailable for our dates. PP is available. I was hoping for a discount, but with this level of occupancy I will be surprised if it happens.

we saved $700 on our June trip. FYI if you book online they cannot apply the Visa offer, you have to start over again. It took them 40 minutes on the phone to figure that out.

I get some emails because I've got a Disney Visa & some because I'm DVC. But I get a ton that aren't linked to either of those as well. I can't say for sure how I got on the list for those originally as it's been a few years now. But, I do sign up for pretty much everything I can. I think one good way to get on their mailing list is to order the free vacation planning DVD. I order one every year, even though they only change the content every few years. Of course, make sure you're signed up with a login on both the DL & WDW websites. Although, if you frequent these boards, I'm sure you've already done that. I know on the DL site their is a "communications preferences" section in your profile. And it's got one of those little magic boxes that every company in the world wants you to check saying that you want to receive promotional offers from them. That's probably all it really take to get the emails flowing. I normally avoid those boxes like the plague, but with Disney, I relish that box.

I have to say that my favorite emails are the ones DL sends telling me the dates of my son's school breaks, so that I'll book a vacation then. I'm not sure how they know those. I know I've never marked anywhere what school my son goes to & he doesn't go where he should based on our address. It just proves that Disney really is magic!

It's important to note though that the emails really only come a few months before the offer opens up. So, if you want to go, you're best off booking the trip at full price & just paying a deposit to hold it. Then when the offer comes out, call to have it applied to your reservation. Otherwise you run the risk of the rooms being sold out as they seem to be for early June this year.

Thanks. I do have an account on the DL site and I ordered a planning DVD before our trip this year.

I will have to check my communication preferences, because I also avoid those boxes like the plague. Thanks for the info.
