Is there any chance at Getting a Grand Floridian DVC Studio room at the 7 month mark? I need help from some fellow Disney Travelers! I am already booked at Boardwalk resort for one week stay in September. I always stay there and wanted to try something different this time, maybe a hotel on the monorail. I have never stayed at any of those resorts, its me, hubby and two kids, boy girl, ages 8 and 3. Which resort should we stay at? Which is the best one? I haven't stayed at any of them, and cant decide which to try to book first?
any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think that there is a decent chance of getting that studio at GF in September. All you can do is check. :)

If your daughter and son are okay to sleep together, then pretty much any DVC resort studio will do. If you want to give them each their own sleeping space, then the studios with the pull down bed would be good...and BWV is one of those locations.

As for "best one", there is no such thing. Every resort has its own attraction and it becomes what is important to you. Do you want to be walking to a park? Do you want a quiet place for afternoon naps? Do you prefer the "hotel style" resort or the "condo style" (SSR & OKW) resort?

I would probably avoid VWL since it is under construction for a couple of years. Aside from that, any DVC resort will probably be a good one for you. Enjoy! :)

This analysis makes it seem unlikely to get a studio at VGF at seven months: http://disboards.com/threads/predic...ms-vgc-update-10-21-15.3419112/#post-53845189

You might be able to pick up a day or two, but anything longer is very unlikely.

Personally, I like BLT because of the location; walking distance to the Magic Kingdom and one stop on the monorail to the TTC (and Epcot monorail). PVB is my second favorite on the monorail because of the view and location. It's walking distance to the TTC (Epcot monorail), with direct boat service to the Magic Kingdom and only one extra stop on the monorail between it and the Magic Kingdom. VGF is beautiful, but that's not enough for me.

Studios are in short supply at VGF. Poly is nothing but studios, so that may be a better option if looking for a monorail resort. I love all 3 monorail resorts, but VGF is my favorite. The VGF studios have a pull down murphy that's perfect for a little one. My kids swapped every night so they both go to sleep on it. We went this past September and VGF didn't seem that busy. It's always worth a shot!

Just FYI, when I booked at exactly 11 months for a VGF studio for mid- September, Standard was already missing days and when I checked about an hour later, there were no consecutive days left for Lake either. Just to manage your expectations :).

Interesting that Sept books so much faster than July/Aug.
Especially when early Sept seems to be the easiest time of the year to get a BLT standard studio.

For our July trip, VGF studio was only missing 1 day, so we booked Poly, instead.
