Any Chance for 1 br villa one month out?

Tonight my aunt started (well... enlisted me "the family Disney Magic maker") planning a very last minute trip May 14-21 and is looking into renting points from a broker. She'd prefer a 1 bedroom villa for the separate sleeping area. Is there ANY chance there's availability? She's knows this is a shot in the dark and is ready and willing to book a family suite at AoA, but would prefer a villa.

Ok, you didn't ask for any one resort and I know they are "hands off" here on checking for folks, but with a fast check I did see that it MIGHT be possible if you are not picky which resort AND if you moved VERY quickly.

SSR will frequently have rooms even now as it's not as crazy of a time to book vs the last 3 months of the year. Albeit I did not look. It's just a time we have frequently gone in the past and I've done some last minute switching around a few times. And things open up due to cancellations. I'd go ahead and check with the broker.

Thanks everyone! We've never stayed dvc, and I wasn't sure if it was even worth her time to check with it being so last minute. All I can think is "OMG... Adrs are 5 months gone and you better book before that 30 day window for FPs opens for non-resort guests!!"

I just checked for DH and me to do a last minute trip and SSR was available for a full week in a 1 bedroom. Good luck!

Ok, that is exactly what I had seen in availability and was trying to be a bit on the "downlow" with my above response to the OP. I have had my hand slapped in a not very nice way here on Dis when I unwittingly checked availability for someone here. So is it okay to check availability and report what that availability or not....just wondering.

Yes, people tend to become hostile. I've experienced it too! But, today I checked, it was available. that's not saying it wont go quickly! Have to be very careful with my words on here!

OP here! I most definitely don't/didn't want to get anyone in trouble!
I figured with all the 7 and 11 month booking and wait listing I've read about, that last minute reservations are hard to come by, and someone may know off hand that it's generally impossible or worth a shot. Again, thanks for all your help!

It never entered my mind that you had any malcontent, Jhaberlein. It was an honest question. The time I got taken to task, like you I was innocently just trying to help. I found out awfully quick my help was NOT okay. And I can understand why they have that rule. What I do NOT understand is how some people can be so rude as "enforcers", if you know what I mean. LOL!!

Davids DVC Rentals, who I think is a sponsor here, has a list of last minute deals that you can subscribe to. They are points available for rent at reduced prices, mostly at Saratoga Springs.

The reason for the "No Availability Check Requests" is twofold:

1 - What you see when you check is not necessarily what you will see when you try to book. Availability changes frequently.

2 - If the DIS allowed these checks, the boards would be full of them.
