Any chance American Girl will ship Backordered items early?

2 out of our 12 items ordered, are on backorder & I was just wondering if there is any hope for them to arrive earlier than AG estimates?

Yes, it does happen sometimes if it becomes available sooner than expected. However there's no guarantee. Sending

Have you tried calling the Ny Store or the Chicago store? They may have the items and will ship- We did this last Christmas and it was a lifesaver. What items are you trying to get?

Both times I have had something backordered I have received an email and the date has actually been moved further out. Hopefully this won't be the case for you. What date did they give you for your backordered items?

I placed an order last week and one item, the doll carrier was on backorder until Jan. 31. I received all the other items Thursady, then I got an email stating that the back order item shipped out on Friday!

I ordered the same thing! I thought for sure I was going to have to wrap a picture of the doll tote, but looks like DD will have it for Christmas.

In my experience the dates became farther away than originally anticipated. I took a picture from the catalog and wrapped it with a note thtat said the elves were backed up a bit because some caught the flu.

Well, I received my doll tote yesterday, and I'm disappointed in the size. It really does not look deep enough to stand up 2 dolls in it and carry it. I know I saw a picture of it like that, with 2 dolls standing up in it, but I'm afraid if DD tries that, the dolls will just fall out.

I might send it back.

I am so bummed. I wanted to order a tote, but I didn't since it was backordered. Looks like I should have because I probably would have received it!

My DD ordered Jess's tree swing around Dec. 7th. It was backordered until Dec. 31st. She received it yesterday!

Awww, don't send it back. The dolls do sit in the bag. My dd has the red/black version from the NY store and has never had a problem carrying her dolls. It is not deeper because of the zippered bottom section for accessories.

Yikes! That is why I never open any presents until my DD does. I just hide them, wrap them then let her open them.
I saw that some other posters said that they will fit in there, I'm just going to have to show my DD how to use it.
