Just wondering if anyone has ran into a celebrity in Disney. Surely the stars take their kiddies to the happiest place on earth. :earboy2:

Thought maybe some would have a story to share....

Last Nov. 2004 while at Typhoon Lagoon we saw Cal Ripkin, he had a
part of the park roped off for him with security so you could not get
near him and years ago we saw Lawrence Taylor walking thru MGM.

We saw "Mr. Cooper" (I cannot think of his real name right now) from Hanging with Mr. Cooper this past September at MK. He didn't have security or anything but nobody was really bugging him either. I saw some people shouting "Hey Mr. Cooper" and waving but nobody was going up to him and interupting his vacation.

We saw Meredith Viera from The View and her kids at Typhoon Lagoon one year! It was pretty neat. She was floating in a tube right next to me!

DH saw Courtney Cox Arquette and David ARquette in the magic Kingdom.

We saw Scottie Pippen at Seashore Sweets on the Boardwalk last year in January. We also saw Sinbad at the Boardwalk at the valet car park on the same trip. First and only celebrities we ever saw in 7 years of going.

I've seen a couple of overgrown happy rodents with big ears on my trips to WDW. They were approachable, gave autographs, but didn't say much.

And my kids can't stop talking about it . . . .

On this last trip 11/24-12/3 they were filming the Christmas parade.

We were trying to get back to the AK from MK so we decided we'd ride the monorail over to the Contemporary rather than trying to get back to TTC and then on to AK.

Anyway, I said to DH let's stop into this store (at the Contemporary) and DH said No, we have a plane to catch. After a tiny little beg he said OK but to make it quick. We walked into a virtually empty store and could hear Kelly Ripa, she has a very recognizable voice. We wandered around to a table and there she was! :earseek: She was holding her baby on one hip and her daughter was checking out the merchandise and she was calling after Michael (her other son). Surprisingly she did not have an entourage (sp?) of CM or security. Just two CM's and one was filling up bags of stuff they were picking out. It was really kind of neat seeing her just being a consumer and a mom. We did not bother her because she was on "vacation" with her family. Technically she was working to film the parade but you know what I mean. She smiled at us and we smiled back. She seemed very nice and not at all annoyed that us common folk :rotfl: were in her presence.
You know how some celebs. act  Like they're not just normal people like us.
Anyway, that's my celeb story.

I saw Lawrence Taylor the week after Christmas 2005. He was on the Ferry leaving The Magic Kingdom going back to the TTC. His girlfriend's outfit was not Minnie approved but Ol' Matt liked it. haha

See Mickey and his friends all the time. :Pinkbounc

Met Vincent D'Onofrio from Law & Order Criminal Intent at MVMCP Dec. 11th. Very nice guy, there with his son.

We saw Steven Tyler upon exiting the Pirates of the Caribbean a year and a half ago...He was shopping for pirate t-shirts and actually stood in line with everyone else to buy his things. He was being escorted by a Disney person. He was with his ?wife? and a daughter (beautiful girl). You can tell he's used to being the center of attention-he pretty much just went about his business while a group of twenty-something guys were standing in awe! It was cool, then, to take our boys on the Rockin' Roller Coaster and show them who we saw!!

I was not with my family but they saw John Travolta and his family on a trip a couple years ago at MK. He was super nice and even let them take a picture with him. :flower:

I believe his name is Mark Curry.

We saw Gary Sinise at the boat dock by the Yacht & Beach Club. He and his family were in line to rent Water Mice.

My cousin and i will be there with our families in Dec. I do not post her name, she has asked me not to, but from a different thread and clues some of you already know who we are. C U In December.

We once saw Laura Innes from ER in the "Lights,Camera,Motorcades" parade at MGM. I'm also pretty sure we saw Drew Carey in the Adventurers Club in June 1996, but didn't realize it until it was too late. I would love to confirm that one!

Off the clock, I ran into him at Downtown Disney in the fall of 04.

The biggest celebrity was when Bruce Springsteen got on a treadmill behind me at the Disney Institute (I was a local member of the fitness center for over a year, and I think there were Orlando Magic players as well).

I've seen Denise Austin, a few others as well.

I love Trails End (to the Trails End Server). :)

Oh - and during the Millenium celebration, there were all kinds of people walking around, like Drew Carrey, Wayne Brady, Fess Parker, etc.
