any car rentals to avoid (offsite)?

My dad wants to rent off site to save the money. I dont want to waste too much time dealing with the offsite agency.

Are there any to avoid? He checked out fox and payless, which I'm reading a few bad things about. But there's the problem of a small sample size.

Do people recommend for or against any off-site car rental places at Orlando International?

Well, once we rented from Hertz (they are at the airport now, but they weren't then) and had to ride the bus to the rental place. I hated it. The last thing I wanted to do after getting off the plane was to ride a bus somewhere else. So after that, we only used on-site choices.

That doesn't bother me at all for off-site airport parking at our home airport - we do that and take the shuttle bus both ways. But somehow once I got to my vacation destination, I just didn't want to deal with that. And then you also had to allow even more time on the return home side since you had to drive to the further place.

So just my two cents.
