Any Brits ever had a good experience with First Choice?

Hi all,
We have booked our disney wedding through First Choice, and it has been the biggest mistake of my life, they have been HORRIBLE to deal with, culminating in their staff sending me an e mail last week telling me that all the problems they have had are essentially MY fault (like they LIED to me over when they could book our DFTW so i contacted the wedding planner at Disney - via first choice having provided me with the contact details - so now F/C are upset that I spoke to Disney not them), and like I should have known that their IT migration issues would stop them answering e mails for several weeks etc etc etc
And yet they have won some wedding award?!
Also, The woman at Disney has been LOVELY and we can deal with her direct for all the final dtails etc, we can deal with the officiant direct too, AND we have to get our own license, so I am not entirely sure what First Choice do?
Anyone here thinking of NOT booking diirect with Disney - I can only say DON'T DO IT - go direct, I have been off the board for a while *** I have been worrying that I might end up with no wedding since they couldn't tell me that there was an officiant booked (in fact the lovely lady at DFTW e mailed to confirm that they had been booked, not F/C at all)

Sorry you've had so many issues. Not many brides on here book through travel agents.

I would say you should list all the problems you've had and send it to as many high up people in First Choice as you can find.

yeah, we thought it would take the stress out of organising an overseas wedding, but we didn't know enough about DFTW to know we would have been better and had fewer stressful problems just booking with them direct.

We are most certainly going to complain, but we live in fear of them ruining our wedding if we do, so we are waiting until we get back from WDW!

A lot of brides have bad experience dealing with a middle man. In this case, the travel agent. Perhaps it would have gone smoothly if you had booked directly with Disney?

If everything is booked with Disney and you are now talking to them direct F/C can't ruin your wedding so I think you should still write the letter now, it can be a very polite letter. You never know you might then get some freebies from them.
