Wow, not when I went on! They took a vial of blood out of your arm! It does cost 50.00 a person to go on the registry, if you go to a drive someone is having then that family is footing the cost of getting each person tested, unless they can get someone to sponser the drive for them...I do recall when we were doign it for my godson that they only charged white people, black people, spanish etc did go on for free being that there was so few o nthe registry they try to encourage them to join by being free.....when we were looking on the list for a donor we did find out that less than 2 percent of the list was black, and even fewer other minoritys were on there making it harder for them to find matches when they needed it.
