Any body know when Disney will re-release Sleeping Beauty?

Sleeping Beauty is my favorite but DD has never seen it. She usually watches Disney Movies on DVD. She only knows Aurora from my night shirts!

Anyone know if Disney will be re-releasing Sleeping Beauty on DVD & VHS?

If it's not for a few years, I might have to find that VCR and hook it up...

Hi, Disney is currently releasing 1 "classic" movie a year for the next 10 yrs. Last yr was Snow White this year seems to Be Beauty and the beast. They are limited releases and probably will not be back for another 7 or so years. Sleeping beauty is one of them but could not tell you in what order it will appear. It could be 1-2 yrs or 8. So if you are interested I would buy them as they are released. Wish I could help more. I do not know an exact yr. BnB is coming out this Oct.

in the past they seemed to be on a 7 year rotation...the last time sleeping beauty was released with in the summer of 1997.

It's on sale in the UK at the moment (we bought it yesterday), I know here we have NTSC playback videos and our DVD players can play region 1 DVDs, I don't know if you have the same ability to play PAL videos and region 2 over there? If you do it may be worth checking out some UK sites and having it shipped over.

I don't know if the fact that it's on release here is any indication that it will be released there soon?

I know that Disney is making "special edition" releases of different movies, I do not know for sure the schedule but as was previously posted SW was last year, BB is this year, and LK is next year (should be in IMAX early next year). I am not sure after that.

In the mean time I am not sure when releases of none "special editions" will be.
