We are seriously just considering paying rack rate at the Poly with the mess that this is causing with these non existant codes.

I was on the phone at 7:06 and the only availability was Animal Kingdom Savannah view bunk beds, NO OTHER Availability at any deluxes around our Oct 13 dates (ie fri, sat, sun). This is insane.

Anyone know what is going on? Will the general code get us any better locations or will it be as limited as this code. AHHHHH

I am sure it will be limited too. It will probably be what is leftover after the FL resident and AP holders rates.

Discounts are not guaranteed - if the hotel is 80% full or more then Disney doesn't offer any discounts for the remaining rooms

I know discounts are not guaranteed but this is the first trip in 5 trips that there is not some type of code that can be used. This is crazy, i know i won't be renewing my annual pass.

If the leftovers are going to be the general public code, well that will be the dregs of the dregs.

I just got the WL Courtyard View at the AP rate. October 10-15. It was $240 a night before taxes

Don't give up! Cancellations happen all the time.

It makes me sad to hear people say they are giving up their AP just because they can't get a room discount for every trip. Last December, I actually ended up paying rack rate, because the resort I wanted didn't have any discount availability under AAA, AP, Florida Resident - nothing! But then I got a great AP discount in February, that more than made up for it. I couldn't get an AP discount at the resort I wanted for September, but I got a decent AAA discount. Now I got a good AP discount for this December.

Discounts are never guaranteed, and they are released based on the rooms Disney needs to fill. Those of us who count on discounts to travel need to be very flexible as far as dates and resorts, and be willing to pay full price if necessary. I never book a room that I can't afford when I book it. Then any discount that comes along is icing on the cake! I'd much rather book the room I can afford and maybe upgrade to a better resort if the discount is available, than to book the more expensive resort hoping for a discount, and have to downgrade or cancel because I can't afford it.

We're booked at WL, standard room, December 7-16. The AP rate was for Courtyard View, December 9-15. So, we could get the AP rate on a courtyard view for 6 of the 9 nights and pay more money overall for the week than we would for rack rate in a standard room. Or, we could take the AP rate in the courtyard room for 6 nights, and switch over to the standard room for the other 3 nights to save $90. Or, we could just stay in our standard room at rack rate.

I chose the last option.

No luck here. I tried to apply the AP rate to our existing 10/25 Poly ressie and our 11/30 GF ressie but no availability at either. I know you need to be flexible to have a good chance at getting something but I REALLY want to stay where we are.:sad1:

I got AKL standard view for our dates ($208.13 inc. tax). We wanted WL, but the only thing they had available was courtyard view for $240, which is more than we wanted to spend.

Also available was AKL savannah ($286.87) and Beach Club standard ($279).

This is for the end of October. I'm guessing there will be more availability soon- people will cancel reservations 45 days out, others will change their minds, etc!

Same thing here. We really want to stay at BWV. Tried this morning, but no AP or any other discount available. We're still happy with our ressie!!! :woohoo:

I saw the same quote for the Wildereness Lodge as y'all, and the Beach Club had a Studio Villa available for $244 a night. It was either studio on 1 bedroom, I'm not positive, but I think it was studio.

I got Yacht Club, water view. It was a reservation I already had and my TA was able to get it applied. I got the $75 dining card too.

I need 2 nights in a deluxe in Nov. When I check for those 2 nights there is not much available. However if I put in for 3 or 4 nights just about all the deluxe hotels were available. It is almost that they are putting a minimum stay on the AP discounts without actually saying it.

DS got AP rate for the CR MK tower room for October 8-13. Saved $700.00.:yay: No discounts available for my GF room for December.:sad1:
