We are Annual Passholders this year, and I'm quite undecided on what to do about the MNSSHP. Even with our Passholder pre-purchase discount, our tickets for our family of 4 are around the $230.00 mark.
We did it last year, and the boys had a great time. I do enjoy it, but other than seeing the cool decorations, a specially themed parade, and some rare characters, the boys just end up back at our room with an unhealthy assortment of candy.
They are 5 & 7 years old. Other than meeting Jack Sparrow last year and seeing Jack Skellington, they were more interested in the Trick or Treat part of the event. I'm not convinced at their age they are that interested in much else at the party.
With our schedule this year, we decided to do our trip Sept. 7-13 to (hopefully) enjoy a crowd level of 1 or 2. We went last year in the 2nd week of October and it was just too crowded for me.
I kinda feel a little burnt out on the extra special events price tags...just saying!
So, any other Passholders thinking about passing on the MNSSHP this year? For the $230 price tag, I was thinking of getting us either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach yearly passes instead. (Refurbishments will decide that too). The boys always beg to go to the water parks.
