Can you use a promo if you are already booked and paid? If so, how?

Only if you have trip insurance, and willing to cancel the first flight to rebook with the promo. But if you haven't selected a seat yet. You can log into your booked flight, select seat assignment, and apply the 10$ credit towards your seat.
At least this is what happened last year when they released the 25$ coupon.
