Any advice? Week before Christmas

I convinced DH to go to Disneyland for Christmas time! We're going to be there dec 17 come home dec 20 I have 2 2-day 1 park tickets leftover this year from annual radio contest winnings (sigh no hoppers but grateful for my tix!). My plan is to leave early from the Bay Area Wednesday the 17th, drop off luggage at hotel, and head over to one of the parks right after until close. Then Thursday, hit up the other park. I figured avoiding friday the 19th would be best since most breaks starts then and/or families taking kids out of school early, right? I do expect crowds , despite being mid-week since it's closer to Christmas. We went for New Years 2010 so we can handle anything LOL!! My question is- which park should we do Wednesday and which park Thursday?? I love closing out my trips in Disneyland so I was thinking Thursday Disneyland? Both days parks are open until midnight and 10pm at DCA. Thank you for you any suggestions!

Are you doing a half day Wed and a full day Thurs, rather than a full day Thurs and a full day Friday? Even if it's crowded on Friday, we usually get the most rides of our day done in the first few hours of our day, even if it is busy. If you start out mid day on Wed., it might be hard to get as much done.

You could use your arrival day to explore DTD, and the decorated hotel lobbies.

Even if it's crowded on Friday, we usually get the most rides of our day done in the first few hours of our day, even if it is busy. If you start out mid day on Wed., it might be hard to get as much done.

That's what we usually do I'm just worried about insane crowds friday. How busy do you think Friday will be??

Oh, and I would do Wed. DCA, and Thurs DL (because of the shorter day Wed), or Thurs DL and Fri DCA ( because of the Friday crowds).

But you know It's just what I would do. I would want two full days. Driving down from the Bay Area and then spending the rest of the day in the park would be pretty tiring. And I would feel a little stressed about getting there and getting to the parks as quick as I could, and I don't like feeling stressed on vacation!

I have another thing for you to consider. Disneyland has early entry on Thursday and DCA has early entry on Friday. That may complicate things a bit, because you won't be getting in early with your tickets unless you are staying on site. If you are staying on site than it will work out well. Just something else to consider.
