Curious as to what people got and if they liked it. I would love to know if you have reviewed it with pics, I will take a gander at your report.

Thanks!

We were there last Sept w/ a Grand Gathering. I ordered some type of steak. I do not remember what the others ordered. We liked the restaurant a lot but the service was a little slow.

I went in 2008, during Free Dining.

I ordered the steak also, it was very good. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all. No wait to be seated. I cancelled my neighbours when my niece and I showed up as they said they wanted to stay at MK. They arrived about 10 minutes later and were seated near us. We were one course ahead of them.

We went for breakfast and room service.

I just looked on their menu and nothing looks familiar to what we ordered! Maybe the menu changed since 2008! The closest thing I saw was "The American" breakfast. My son is telling me that Chef Mickeys does the room service at the Contemp. Im not sure, I thought it was the Wave :confused3

We ate there last Sept.

Ordered cocktails first, the agave nectar margarita - just tasted like a regular margarita to me

We had an appetizer w/ spring rolls and rare tuna - yummy!

I had the beef tenderloin which was very good - but just an fyi the sides are heavy on root veggies (carrots, potatoes, etc.)

For dessert the Decadent Flavors trio - delish!

I would eat there again. The atmosphere is nice and calm which can be a great break from the parks.

I ate there less than two weeks ago and had the Citrus Avocado Salad followed by the Mediterranean Tuna (seared rare ahi) salad. Hadn't meant to order two salads but the sustainable fish was salmon and I had just returned from Alaska and didn't want to see more salmon. Both salads were delicious - the tuna was excellent. I also had the Decadent Trio for dessert but subbed out one of the three as I wanted to try one from the other offered trios. I have heard you can just choose 3 items from all of the choices. I ate there as a single diner because DD had to work in Toontown. I plan to return with DH on our next trip and already have my ADRs.

We ate there last August. Service was very, very slow. I ordered the filet medium rare. Chef didn't know what medium rare was. First time my meat came it was over cooked, second time it came it was so bloody it was disgusting. After the third time, I just said fine and it still wasn't right.

However, everyone else liked their meal. Would I eat there again? Yes, but just wouldn't order the filet. Oh, where we sat was cold because it was right under the air condition vent. All of us shivered through our dinner.

We ate there last October and really enjoyed our meal. I was suprised because I hadn't read too much on disBoards about the restaurant so I didn't know what to expect. Food was good, drinks were good, I loved the desserts they all looked like what Beauty posted... they were really cute.

It wasn't crowded, I don't remember the service being poor.

I actually just made a reservation for our trip in September. We will be celebrating our son's Bday there. :cool1:

Click on my March 09 and Aug 09 links...we had dinner there both times and loved it! Tons of pics and full reviews for you

We ate there last year, and loved our meal. I had lamb shank, which was awesome. The desserts are very interesting, we really enjoyed it.
I did not find service to be slow, but we are slow eaters so maybe I didn't notice.

my advice is to book it! we've been to the wave now like 4 times and we love it! i always get the steak and we love the potatoes! our dd loves the milkshakes (there made with condensed milk). one of our favorites in disney!

We ate there in December it was delicious. For me it was the best meal on our trip. I can't wait to eat there again on our next trip. I had a steak that was served with a wine reduction over a white bean mash.

This is what I had for dessert. It was what they offered in their decadent sampler. Wish I had taken photos of my steak.

We ate there 7/25/2010 for lunch and the service was pretty quick, but we were there at the end of the lunch. Then we ate there with a group of 9 on the following Friday night and it took a loooooooooooonnnggg time. But they did server our 3 year old right away which helped.

The crab cake appetizer was fantastic and I had it at both meals. I also got the dessert sampler in photos above both times.

For our lunch I had a chicken/salad type dish that was very refreshing after being on a plane for hours. On our Friday night visit I had a steak which was wonderful and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the food and the staff was very friendly.

We ate there in May of last year and had the Chillean Sea Bass. It was really good, but our kids got the chicken tenders to share and they were kind of dry. My DD didnt like the fries and the waitress actually went upstairs to get her the skinnier fries! She was great :) I would eat here again if we were going to the Contemporary but wouldnt make a special trip just to eat there. It is worth a try though :) The desserts were yummy. We got the sample of gelatos to share!

The Tuna looks awesome!

We love it and usually make it our 1st meal in the world.
I love the sustainable fish entree and the seasonal stew

We ate there for dinner in June of 2009. I had not heard much about it on here and it was not an ADR I had made, BUT since we all had been sick during our drive down and for the early part of the trip I ended up cancelling and shuffling many ADRs around.

We had planned to eat at Tony's Town Square this night but DH was just not interested in going back into a park to eat. I cancelled Tony's and The Wave was one of the few that I could get with less than four hours notice. I was worried about that figuring it would not be very good (had a similar situation earlier in the week when switched our Mama + F! pkg to Olivia's at OKW. We were disappointed with Olivia's, although I think it was missing Fantasmic as much as anything.

The Wave did not disappoint at all, in fact we were going to book it again for our trip this January but couldn't fit everything in. We did have to wait about 15 minutes or so for our table but it seemed verrrry busy that night so this did not seem unreasonable. Both DH and I had the beef tenderloin and we both loved it. We felt all of the food was so fresh and well prepared. I had the no sugar added dessert trio and he had the sorbets. We both loved our desserts as well, but were really full. DS had the chicken strips and wedges which were far superior to regular chicken fingers and fries. The strips were real chicken fillets and seemed baked although they could have been fried but were not at all greasy. DD had the pasta. Both had sundaes and everyone really liked the meal here. I would describe the pace as leisurely, not slow but if you're used to the usual quick, rushy table service meals that can occur and are in a hurry to get somewhere this might put you off.

DH and I had dinner at The Wave for the first time not long after they opened. DH is not an adventurous eater and has problems seeing in dark restaurants but he's more than ready to go back! We were very happy with the food and they did a bit of tweaking to suit DH's tastes with no complaints whatsoever.
