Any advice for early to mid-May?

We've been to Disney many times, but are going for the first time in May (for our daughter's 1st birthday!) from 5/5-5/13.

Can anyone offer any advice on what the crowds and the weather are like at that time?

We went last May the 20th through the 26th. I know its not the dates you are going, but I thought I would give some input on what our trip was like. The weather was very pleasant up until the weekend of Memorial Day. At night we were able to jeans and a light jacket. It didn't rain at all the whole week. The crowds were not bad at all. It did start getting crowded the Friday before Memorial Day. The beginning of the week the most we waited for the "big" attractions was 15 to 20 minutes at the most. Most everything else was a walk on. This year I will be going the same week, but leaving out a weekend early and leaving when the crowds arrive for Memorial Day weekend. Hope this helps!! When exactly is Memorial day wkend..........is it 24th May this year? I really do hope it is then and not the weekend before!!

We are visiting 10-24 May and hopefully (?) avoiding crowds lol

Memorial Day is May 26th this year. So, the holiday weekend would start May 24th.

to answer your question, early to mid may is one our favorite times of the year to go to disney. the weather is awesome..it can still be hot...we have been in mid may when temps were in the upper 90's, so be prepared for hot weather....the good thing is that it usually doesn't rain much that time of year and the humidity isn't so bad yet....generally, crowd levels are pretty low during this time as schools haven't gotten out for the summer yet. go and enjoy!

Sounds perfect! With a 1-YO, I was hoping for warm but not too hot, and not too crowded with shorter wait times, and looks like I've picked a good time. Thanks so much for your replies!
