Are there any advantages to booking directly with Disney?
I am thinking online access, magic bands, access to meal reseverations etc....

Seems some better deals on CompleteOrlando.co.uk

Anyonw recommend any other site for hotel booking along with the free dinning.

Thanks

I like to book direct with the supplier wherever possible but if the savings are worthwhile with CO I would be happy to book with them as so many on here have done so and thus far, I am only aware of positive reports.

You get some 'magical extras' with Disney like discount vouchers, preferred fireworks viewings for illuminations and Wishes (one per booking for each show) and other similar offers. However if those aren't important to you then there isn't really any reason not to book with CO instead if they are cheaper.

We actually do like some of the magical extras and I would be prepared to pay for the fireworks viewing spot for illuminations so that is a swaying factor for me but I am fairly certain I am in the minority on this one

I book through Disney direct, even if it means paying a bit more.
I like to be in touch with the "real" suppliers rather than a "middle-man"

Every time I used a TA (and I mean, each and every time) I had to spend hours on the phone trying to solve stupidly small issues, when I would have had them solved by Disney in a matter of minutes.

Long story short, I prefer to go to the butcher's and choose my meat, rather than send the kid next door do it for me, just to see him bring back pork when I asked for beef.

Dinsey, no brainer.

Agree,I prefer to go direct with Disney too if possible.Last year we went through VH with no problems, this year we're back with Dinney as VH prices was just stupid and no Frequent Flying discount:confused:

I agree too. I'm off in 12 days and have had such a great experience booking direct.

I booked direct with Disney last year and this as once I added in the gift card and cash back there was only about £50 difference which wasn't enough to persuade me to book with CO instead of going direct.

I like to book direct as I feel I have more control over my reservations.

Thanks for all the replies - seems faily compelling opinion on here. (and good info about the extras)

I will price it fully when decided on where to stay - carefully...it was odd that just some were virtually the same but some as much as £500 difference eg Animal Kingdom Logde.

Am I also correct in thinking that if you book direct with Disney for any of their hotels you get a free transfer from the airport.

Cheers

It's my understanding that, as long as you have a Disney Hotel booking, you get free transfer (magical express) no matter who you're booked with.

I'd book with whoever was cheapest, if your only talking a few pounds then book direct but if it's a large saving I would go with the TA. I've booked with CO a few times and never had a problem.

You will get Magical express whoever you book with and also all the benefits like the magic band, reservations etc.

Thanks all for the replies....finally booked :dance3::dance3:

Went direct with Diseny in the end - factoring in the $100 disney money and Quidco it wasnt much difference.

Be back with more questions no doubt once get on to the real planing.
