Any 10-16-04 cruisers yet?

Speaking of DS and birds...I bought pink tulips one day and told him to hold them on the way home...he looked at them and said "Flamingo flowers"...which is pretty darn good for an autistic child.

Denise...sent you a PM... :chat:

Sandy, can't wait for the signs! So happy to count down the days!!

Ummmmm Denise.

You want might want to mention to your hubby that my hubby uses duct tape to fix everything...hence no tools needed. Our garbage disposal was leaking...duct tape. The cabinet in the kitchen was falling off....duct tape. I am thinking a hose to the dryer...duct tape. There truly are 1001 uses.

Pink flamingo flowers? That is good! :) I know Disney World still has the Tiki Birds. My DH drags me to it every time we go. In fact that is where we were when we got kicked out of the park due to 9/11.

Thea....didn't get the PM

Rose....thanks for the tip about duct tape but he is already quite familiar with its uses. You should see our bathroom  !

Just checking in.

Pink Flamingo flowers..I like that.

Just killing some time until our dinner arrives. My SIL is on his way to the Wildwood boardwalk to pick up some Mack's Pizza. (And for those of you that have never visited our Jersey shore and had Mack's pizza...it's the best!) ::yes::

Makayla is feeling much better today and driving her Mommy crazy. Andrew is still one small step from winding up in a basket.
Joe (DH) is chatting away to the back of my head. Saying something about "Disney freak" but I'm ignoring him.

Gotta go....the pizza's here!

Hello everyone,

Just stopped in with a quick HI:wave:

Love the pink Flamingo flowers my very good friend has an autistic son he just warms my heart he sings all the time. they were just over on Sunday and he sang OH Christmas Tree. Hes Mom says its Christmas all year. That sounds OK to me .

About the pizza we are Sams PIzza fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tevagirl, Are you sure you heard your DH right? He probably was saying you are a "Disney princess". :-)

DH and I are doing the "Under 2 Flags" tour on St. Martin in the morning and the "St. John Island Tour" in the morning on St. John.

I hope to spend the afternoon at Paradise Point and hope to be there in time to catch the 1:30 bird show.

I read on another site that there is a couples spa treatment on the Magic that lasts about 45 to 50 minutes, and I think the price was $84 per couple. I can't remember the name of it, but I think it started with an "S". Does anyone know what the treatment is called? I think it uses mud in the spa treatment, but I am not sure. Anyway, everyone who gave a review of it said it was something that all couples should do if they had the chance. I can't see getting excited about being covered from head to toes in mud, but I'll give it a shot.

]I bookmarked the site, and then the computer lost the bookmark. I wish I double-checked to make sure I had the bookmark before I left the site. :-(

Hi tiggerfantoo,
I think you are talking about what used to be called the Surial Bath ? Lots of info on Barb's site...they call it something else now, starts with an "R". Basically you and your mate have an hour to spread colored muds and such over each other...supposed to be lots of fun according to Barb.

Gloria ~ My mom and step dad (Karen & Paul) are doing the St. John Island Tour too. Then I think they're going to meet ds and me at Paradise Point for the afternoon bird show. Maybe we'll see you there.

Gloria...you're so sweet. I'll bet you're right, that must be what he said. He certainly does treat me like a princess..... oh sorry, I just choked on something but I'm okay now.

By the way, Peg.........I'll bet Mack could beat up Sam. :teeth:

Wideawake, Colored mud? That sounds interesting! I am looking forward to an hour with hubby and leaving the rest of the family to entertain themselves.

Sandy, I will be looking for you and your family on the cruise. If you get to Paradise Point for me, save a Bushwacker for me. I don't drink much, but will try it since the website made it sound good.

Tevagirl, Hope you are okay after your choking spell. Its funny how often we wives have those choking spells :-)

I can relate, as I have been married for 30 years now. I will be glad when I can finally get him trained to act the way I want him to. . . . for example, I heard water dripping the other day. I asked if he heard it, and he said "yes". I asked if he thought he should see what was leaking, and he said he would check it "later". I started checking, and saw the wet spot on the ceiling where water was leaking from the upstairs bathroom. He did finally go upstairs and fix the leak, but I had to beg him to go fix it. In an ideal (pretend) world, he would have found the cause of the dripping, fixed the leak, and then offered to take me out to dinner! Oh, well, I can dream . . . .

Gloria...you gotta love 'em don't you? Yours sounds like mine. Maybe after 30 years they all turn into one another. When we moved into our house in 1971 I bought a written out house number for the front of the house. It's still not up. About 10 years ago I asked him when he was going to put it up. He said "These things take time." Time? How about DECADES! Geez. So, we know he's not handy and he hates to do things around the house. Can you guess what his favorite store is? Home Depot. He can walk around that store for hours looking at all the cool new tools they have out. I don't get it. He doesn't like to use the tools so why does he like looking at them?
Go figure.

Have to go...Big Brother's coming on!

Good night everyone.

O.k. Princesses! princess:
How are we gonna' recognize everyone once we're on the ship. I don't want to re-invent the wheel, and I'm sure ya'll (on my goodness I just typed "ya'll')- Southern Slip- anyway, I am sure it's been mentioned before how we all do the "oh you're so-and-so" especially if we don't meet up for the wine thingy. When was that again? Anyway, do we all need big green (yellow) Mickey Shaped Dis-Board name tags? :worship: Hint, Sandy...Hint..Hint. I wanna' meet some of you at Paradise Point, and how about getting together for the bushwacker meeting :drinking1 and how will I ever know what Denise and her family look like at Palo's and some of us with young-uns (there it is again, pesky Texas upbringing) might want to do the butterfly farm together (it's a 20 minuted drive from the pier-pretty spendy taxi) and oh my gosh I am so confused :confused3

I need a valium :bitelip: and there's still 45 more days to go.

Breathe, Thea, breathe! (Xanax works really well, too.)

I think you have some very good ideas and I for one am up for them!
I am going to make some pins for us to wear. I got some Mickey paint chips from Home Depot and some laminating paper. I'm going to the craft store this weekend to look for some pin backs. If they turn out I'll let you know.

Libby and Thea...I PM'd both of you.

Denise

Here's an idea ... The DISshop has these buttons.
button1.jpg

They are $1.25 each and are made by mentally and physically disabled kids at the Intermediate Unit at Haverford High School in PA. If one person ordered the pins for all the DISers here who would like one, we could split the shipping cost. I have a little too much on my plate, with the door signs, to take that on too. (I've made 24 signs and 24 DIS magnets and still have 11 more signs to make.)

OR... Denise could start up her own little business making and selling pins to all of us. :teeth:

I'll let you know this weekend if I can make the pins. I think they will turn out okay. I actually think they'll be kind of cute. I just have to make sure I can get enough Mickey paint chips. :smooth:

Hi everyone!

WOW have we been busy! I haven't checked in for soooooo long! well I'm back and things are kinda quieting down here (for the moment)...... our basement remodeling project has been quite an adventure, I haven't had much time to think about the cruise. The walls and floor are done, the electric work is done, the back board for the paneling is done, and now all he has to do is put the paneling up, make an appointment for the carpet people to come and the pellet stove is going in on 9/8. Im so dam tired of working on this project. I cannot wait until its done!!!!!!! Back to school is next Monday and I am so glad, kids are getting under my skin. Brian has been home for the last 2 weeks, GO BACK TO WORK!!! I miss my alone time! He says he's going back this Monday, he will be done with the paneling then.

Sounds like everyone is getting excited about the cruise, Im gonna try to shift into gear here real soon! We went school shopping yesterday and Lydia was whining that I bought more for me for the cruise!! Oh well, get over it girl. ::yes::

I'll be hanging out here more & more now so talk to ya all later & have a great week!, Lisa

I don't have time to think about the cruise. I have boxes piling up in every corner of my house. The good news is we move 2 weeks from today. Then we have Kaleigh's birthday party 2 weeks after that and then I have to start getting ready for the cruise. Calgon...

I can't complain, Jerry is good around the house. But, then again we have only been married for almost 13 years.

I can't stand the waiting too much longer! They say we wish our lives away but I'm only waiting for October 16th! I guess it will be here before we know it. School starts on 9/8 for my daughter and time will probably fly after that. Hubby's birthday is tomorrow and mine is on Sunday so that might speed the next few days anyway. We were is Disney in 2000 when my daughter was 4 and fell off the CR bed. She wound up with a concussion in addition to a double ear infection and we spent the week in the hotel room. I've had a couple medical issues but we got through them and now it is on to a MUCH NEEDED vacation!!!!!
