Any 10-16-04 cruisers yet?

Nope, nobody wants to buy our house. You would think it was this horrible place!

Supposed to be 88 today! Yippeee!:Pinkbounc I love the warm temperatures.

Denise,

I can sure relate to you about spending money (either at the Disney Store or for the cruise). I have found so many things in stores lately that I absoultely NEED FOR THE CRUISE (or so I tell my husband). I bought some items for the cruise several months ago and "put them in a safe place". Now if I could only find them! ;-)

I have bought several items for my granddaughter (like bubbles and a princess wand) and had to hide them so she wouldn't see them now. I have one suitcase that is packed with all of these goodies.

I don't want to wish away the summer (not that we are having a good one weather-wise up here in Maine), but I wish it was October 16th already.

I know! I have gotten so many great deals lately. Even on the internet...free shipping and everything! How can you pass up stuff that's on SALE and FREE SHIPPING! I keep telling my DH that I am "saving" him tons of money! Plus I have this friend (she'll be on the cruise with us) that keeps calling me and telling me about all these good deals she's finding. I spent another $50.00 today and I was at work! She's has got to stop calling me.

I also have the bubbles, etc for our grandkids. I agree...I can't wait for October..... I need to make some room in my house for all the stuff I'm buying!

Denise:)

Hi All!

And here I thought I was the only one spending the cash as fast as he can make it....... I love buying stuff online and I am seriously addicted to Zappos (plug for them, YAY)... I have bought alot of stuff on Ebay too, and I got us 4 big beach towels for showers on the cruise at $4.99 a piece + an extra 10% off thanks to these boards!

I'm really not a big shopper (welllll...) and everytime I tell Brian my newest & hottest deal of the day he says.... congratulations! (is it me or do I detect a smalllllllll amount of sarcasm? He always says "whatever you want" so I have been taking him up on it! Someone please stop me!

Everytime the UPS guy brings me a Zappos box (and of course he has to deliver it to work, not my HOUSE) he calls me Imelda....its getting EMBARRASING !!

Well, I hope everyone has a nice weekend, I have a wedding to go to in Reading, about an hour away from home, its gonna be a nice one....

Julie, I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt, I was close to mine also, she lived with us for her last years....it was nice....

Byes for now!

Zappos?.... Zappos? What's a Zappos? What am I missing? Huh? Huh? Tell me!

Oh no. Not shoes. (I am so out of control)
:(

Hi All,
We are leaving Sunday for a Yellowstone hiking/canoeing trip through Wilderness Inquiry, a travel group known for making the outdoors accessible to all. In our group of 18 we have my autistic DS, a deaf child, and two adult men with physical handicaps. I am stressed, hoping this is not a big disaster. I do not like camping, go because DH and DS love it. We could have taken a short cheapo cruise for what this is costing, and I could at least have silverware and a glass of wine. This all sounded great when I read about it last winter, but now it is here !!! I will get through this, I will think of Oct 16th and my REAS package, the fabulous service and great food, our wine party, and room service. I must be positive...I had the same premonition of disaster last year before our Magic cruise...terrified I'd spent lots of money for a medicore vacation. I was wrong then, could very well be wrong now.

Take the wine anyway....just drink it straight out of the bottle. :(

You never know..this could possibly be one of the best vacations you've ever taken. Hope it all goes well and you have the time of your life. Stay safe.

Hi All! Thanks for all the well wishes for me and my aunt. this was my uncle's second wife, but she was still a big part of the family. My first aunt also died at home. Needless to say he doesn't have real good luck with that!

Well, I'm in a little dilemma....... IF and I mean IF I can get poo head to let Anna Marie go on this cruise (she still says no, but I think I MIGHT have cracked her) Anna Marie "technically" couldn't be added to our ressies. We are in a cat 4 which sleep 5 but they count the baby as the 5th person even though she is sleeping in a crib. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO, IF Anna Marie goes, we would have to get 2 cabins and split everyone up. The only problem with that is that we can not get 2 cabins in cat 12, 10, or 9 together. And anything after that gets toooo pricey for two cabins and just try to get 2 cabins close to each other now. So to make a long story short...(I know too late) do I tell Anna Marie to forget it AFTER her mother finally cracked or do I sell Anna Marie to the highest bidder to a family that is going? LOL! I just feel really bad that now she can probably go with her mom's ok and now she has nowhere to go!

Thanks for letting me ramble. I know the answer to the above mentioned dilemma, just need to see it in writing before I tell her no.

Will check back in later! Have a great Sunday!

Julie: My TA is on vacation this week. I am still waiting to hear back from her about the price issue.

Believe it or not, we sold our house yesterday!!!!!!!!!!! We signed the papers yesterday morning. We are sooo releived! Plus, we don't have to make a double move!!!!!

Wideawake: I hope you have a wonderful journey!

I can't spend a ton of money for this trip because I am spending it all on the new house.

OK, sounds like everyone knows everyone going on this cruise except me.

Well, I'm new and this will be our 1st DCL. We are very excited. Does anyone have any teenagers? It will my myself, DH, DD(who will be turning 16) and friend and DS age 11. My DS is looking to meet some boys or girls his age to play with.

Thanks
Donna
Oh, how do I get the time tingy at the end of my message.

Welcome to the DISboards, Donna. This is my first cruise, too, and I can hardly wait for it to begin. Can you imagine what seven days of being waited on hand and foot is going to feel like???

I hope you are able to get the count-down clock. I have tried several times and cannot get it. I think my pop-up blocker is keeping me from getting it.

I have a question for any of you who have cruised with three year old kids before. My granddaughter is very tiny, and uses a "potty seat ring" that you put on a toilet seat to keep them from falling in. Are the toilet seats on the ship the size and shape of regular toilet seats? I really don't want to bring a "potty seat ring" with us, but will if it makes her feel better.

Only eighty one days left! I hope the seven days we are on the ship do not go by too quickly!

Gloria

WIDE AWAKE

good luck on your trip....finally looked at my PM's....I PM'd you ...you'll make it through!

Tevagirl..did I see on another board that you got an Illuminations Cruise before our trip? We did it last year and it was great!!
Well worth it.. Congratulations!

We did get the Illuminations cruise! :Pinkbounc I wasn't sure if the tips they gave us to get it worked or if it really isn't as hard to get as they say. I'm glad to hear you liked it. We haven't done one before so I'm a little excited about it. I actually have another one booked (my girlfriend did the same thing) so if anyone on this board is interested I won't cancel the reservation. Just let me know. It's for October 12th.

Welcome to Donna and her family! :wave2: My 12yo DGS is going to be on the cruise and there are others on this board with boys that age also. I can't help you with the coundown clock. My DD had to do mine for me.

We just changed our plans today regarding the flight home. Jill, AJ, and the boys have decided they want to stay a few days in WDW after the cruise (since they aren't going down before) and DGS asked us if we could stay and go with them. It probably wont be much longer and he won't care if his old grandparents are along so how could we say no? Besides...I never have to have my arm twisted to go on a vacation! Now we just have to get a place to stay! :teeth:

Talk to you all later, Denise

WOW! Two of them!!You are lucky...we were going down a couple of days before the cruise but I'm not sure about 4 days before or I would take you up on it in a heartbeat!
