Anxiously Awaiting December Hours Thread! - WE'VE GOT HOURS!!!!

I wonder what the chances are of the hours coming out a day or 2 early. Anything would help.

That is so funny you said that, I was just talking to my DH last night about our plans and ADRs, and I told him that in a "Perfect World" they would release the Dec. hours on 8/31....that would definately make my life a lot easier :goodvibes

I know I was just thinking this morning I think they should practice getting those hours out early on us December goers since they will need to get back in the habit of getting them out much earlier in just a couple of months!! Wishful thinking I am sure!

if we see hours/schedule before 12/5.

I feel at such a disadvantage with making ADRs; because, I'm making plans based on last year's history for what's what.

I need to do a few EMHs and such and it sure would be nice to have a schedule before December comes, but alas it won't happen.

For some reason, this seems to be the worse month for Disney to post; so, it always takes longer.

I think last month, November, came out on the 4th.

I am anxiously awaiting Sept. 1 (hoping for hours), Sept. 19 (90 day mark), and of course Dec. 18! I hate to wish my life away but it's hard not to! Yesterday while listening to Spectromagic on my iPod my DS said "Mom, I don't think anyone loves Disney more than you. You are like the queen bee of Disney." My dd and I thought it might be the queen "D" instead. :rotfl2: I informed them that I might tie with many others here on the Dis as far as loving Disney goes, because let's face it, there is a LOT of Disney love here! :lovestruc

Think of it this way though...everyone is at a disadvantage because you're all working with the same information. So really, no one is at a disadvantage. It's just less convenient right now.

I have a question for you guys! When it is your date to make the ADR's are you getting up and getting online to do them at 6am or waiting until 7am to call?

I'm honestly torn about it. While I've played around a lot with the online ressie's I sort of think it is a pain and is easier to just do them all on the phone with a live person.

What do you guys think?

This would give me a day to tweak my plans. I'm planning for not only my family but some friends that are going on their first trip with us so I want to have a good dining plan in place.

Come on December hours!!!

I'll be doing both. On-line at 6:00 am for most of my reservations. I'll have to phone at 7:00 am to book CP dinner package. Sure hope I can get what we want. I have back-up plans and then alternative plans depending on which date I can get the CP package. I have a strong preference for 1 date, I could easily change it to a second date by moving one other ADR, would have to switch around a lot of plans for the 3rd date.

How in the world can you plan what day you want to go to what park and when and where to make adr's if calendar for december is not out yet. I hate being in one park and having adrs in another it wastes so much time hopping park to park

I totally agree. I make ADRs tommorrow for 11/25-12/05 so I'll just be winging it for the December ones. Hopefully a CM can tell me when Fantasmic will be the first week of December since I am hoping to book the F! Dining package.

I called Disney the other night to see if I could find out about Fantasmic, but they said they didn't know. One of my BFF is a cast member and hasn't heard anything either. It is driving me crazy!!!:confused:

Do you think the hours will closely mirror those of last year? I'm looking at last years calendar to try and get an idea. What I really want is the best parks list from TGM so I can plan!!!

On the nights that MK has MVMCP would you assume that either Epcot or DS would have evening extra magic hours? I know, grasping at straws here trying to make plans with no December schedule. :confused3

Hi! We are going Dec 2-9. I think I might have a nervous break down with out the calendar. Can anyone share last year's? Or can you find it online somewhere? We are going with my in-laws and DMIL has already stated that she does NOT want to do character autographs (aka standing in line) NEWS FLASH that's what your grandkids want to do! I can't complain too much she is paying for the trip. So I'm trying to get as many character meals in to see them that way. Of course DH doesn't want to go to the ones we have already been too, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey, CRT. I mentioned Garden Grill and he didn't seem too enthused (sp?).

And one top of it I'm trying to plan around the Christmas Parade taping. Is it better to stay out of MK those days? Or are the lines short cuz everyone is watching the parade?

I think Garden Grill would be a perfect choice for your family since you get so much character interaction. Ohana is another favorite of ours.

As for planning, I've been working off of TG Mike's least crowded parks from last year, and accounting for MMVCP of course. We were there during the parade taping last year (Saturday- not every day). Main Street was a bit of a mess, and it was very crowded. We went for the am, then back to the resort for a break in the afternoon, and came back at night for Spectro and Wishes. It was fine. I'd avoid it if you can, but if you can't, just plan for the crowds. We'll likely be there again on Saturday this year.

The parade isn't something you'd probably stand there and watch for too long b/c it takes hours and hours. They film one section of it at a time, then splice it together for TV. A lot of locals come out to be extras, and then are able to do the parks afterwards, so the crowds are intense.

Here is the link to the December hours. The main thing I took into account when planning is the fact that even though the old calendar says MK closes at 7:00 on nights with MVMCP, that may not be the case with this year's calendar because MVMCP will be on different nights. KWIM? In 2008 there might have been a MVMCP on the second Monday of the month, and this year, there may not be---it may be on the second Tuesday of the month instead.

Good luck and happy planning!
