OK, I ned help from anyone out there who, like my husband, HATES onions; or from anyone who has traveled with an onion-hating friend or relative.
My DH absolutely HATES onions... if he finds even so much of a hint of onion in his food, his meal is spoiled. So I was looking at the menus over at allearsnet for the restaurants we have chosen for our ADRs, and there are several food choices I think he would enjoy IF we can ask for the onions to be left off. Please let me know if you have ever ordered any of the following items, and successfully asked for them with NO onions.
At Le Cellier for lunch: 10 oz. New York Strip Steak - with sauteed leeks, frisee, and roasted Yukon potatoes and finished with veal demi-glace. (Yes, I know, they are leeks... but for him, leeks are close enough to onions that he won't eat them either.)
At Whispering Canyon for breakfast: Everything on the menu seems to come with "red bliss potatoes with sauteed onions", can you have the potatoes made without the onions?
At Captain Cook's over at the Poly: Stir-fried Noodles - chicken and vegetables with Udon noodles in lemon-grass infused sauce garnished with fried wontons. Do the veggies in the stirfry include onions?
TIA for help with picky hubby!
