Antenna Toppers-Because some #$%*& stole mine:( HAPPY UPDATE IN THE 1ST POST 8/30!!)

MAGICAL UPDATE:

I just wanted to thank everyone who sympathized with me on this. My family thought I was nuts but you guys all made me feel so much better but, I especially want to THANK OkieDisney . She sent me a replacement and I couldn't have been more psyched when it showed up today. This place is not only filled with people that will answer questions you don't know the answer too, but also people who just want each other to enjoy their Disney vacations as much as they can. How great is that. Thanks again OkieDisney!!:

PS- I hot glued mine to the dash of my car so their going to have to take the whole car to get it this time.

I'm so sad. I don't know who else can sympathize about this with me but yesterday some pixie-less individual stole my CASTLE atenna topper. My favorite one because it looks so different and I love it. I always stick it on my van a month or two before we are leaving for a trip. This shouldn't be a big deal but for some reason it is really bothering me. Just another example of the little incivilities in this world that drive me nuts!

I'm wondering if anyone who's just returned from WDW saw them in the parks or DTD. I have a bunch of them but I really want another castle one. Appreciate any help anyone can provide. TIA : (Just another reason why I need to visit WDW at least once a year )

The castle one is great, isn't it? I collect the Disney antenna toppers~mostly just the Mickey & Minnie ones. But I had to have the castle! I have these cute little "springs" that I mount them on. They're all displayed on a tiered shelf on my bookcase. I only put common ones on my car, just for the reason you encountered. So sorry that happened!!

It happened to me before.. and I was mad and sad. Good thing I bought Minnie too... so what I did was to just stick the antenna topper on my dash board. And guess what... its still there!! I just bought a golden ear mickey mouse and about to put it next to Minnie! Sorry about what happened.

The castle toppers are available all over. You should have no trouble finding them.

Thanks you guys. We are going in September so I dont have to wait too long to get another one. Someone mentioned to me that I was brave putting my favorite one on the car but I am naive and like to believe that people are just nice and wont take things that don't belong to them. Elizabeth, thank you so much for you kind offer though!! See, people are really good inside. : Fantasia, I love your idea of putting it on my dashboard. It cracked me up when I read that you put yours there "and it's still there". Also I have to say, I love your siggie pic and have to agree with what someone around here posted that you are about the only person I've ever seen manage to look cool with a fannypack on! Thanks you guys, I feel better already. I have my Sorcerer Mickey on there now to keep away the bad people.

Also I have to say, I love your siggie pic and have to agree with what someone around here posted that you are about the only person I've ever seen manage to look cool with a fannypack on!

LOL! I suppose you can buy a few and then if it gets stolen again, you have another one to put on there. But I prefer to just put it on the dash..for sure they can't get to it. And thanks for the compliment! I know what you mean.. wearing a fannypack is so "out" and dorky... but not at WDW! It's great to have your hands free!

I had one of my antenna toppers stolen and it was stolen from the parking lot of the All Star Music, would you believe? (You would think that maybe, just maybe, someone could buy their own when you are there, wouldn't you?)

When I was at WDW in March they were selling a pack of the antenna toppers, it was $20 for either 10 or 12. It was one for each holiday. I got the pack for my sister because she absolutely loves them. She can't wait for us to go back next month to see what new ones they have. I bet she'll be getting the golden Mickey ears!

I collect antenna toppers too. But I hang mine from my rearview mirror. Use an eye screw and a bit of ribbon and it is great. I get to see mine all the time, but others can see it too, plus I don't have to worry about them disappearing.

At home I have little stand that they sit on. I even used paper clips to hang them on the computer desk we have.

I always buy two of my favorites. Started doing that after ghost Mickey lost his ears at a car wash last Halloween.

Over the years, we have had about three of ours taken. I just grumble and reach into our stash and put another one on.

The one they seems to stay away from, for whatever reason, is the Red, White and Blue one.

Bummer, if you like I can get you a new one when we visit in October. I like my antenna topper and my kids love it because I have a common type of van and color and they can see me in the afterschool carpool lineup!

My dh does make me take it off during highway long drives as he says it uses more gas - I guess these days every effort helps LOL.

I have a few miscellaneous ones and the Holiday pak mentioned above. Right now my van is wearing sorcerer mickey but he is coming off (temporarily) for our upcoming move to delaware

Thanks everyone, it makes me feel good to know we aren't alone. The only other times they've been stolen we've been at WDW and for some reason then I thought it was funny and just picked up a new one. Once at BWI and once at AKL we had our toppers stolen and I too thought...Hmmm you are here, why not just buy your own? Thanks for the info on the multipacks. I'll look for them when we go.

I agree too that our red white and blue mickey always stays on the car. Maybe it's just too uncivilized to steal something looking so patriotic?

I think I will start hanging mine from my mirror or putting them on my dash. But my beloved castle...WHY!?!? LOL.

I had one stolen from the BWI parking lot. Now I don't use them as WDW anymore.
I bought a Toyota Highlander last year. It wasn't until I was in the dealership lot, transferring items from the old car to the new one, that I realized the darn thing doesn't have an antenna! (I guess it is built into the windshield.) Was I ever bummed! Now I hang an antenna topper from my rear view mirror.
