I have both local guests that are driving in the day of the wedding and back home that night, thus not staying at a resort. I also have guests staying at the resorts. So who am I supposed to give the bags to? :confused3 Just the ones staying at the resorts right? Also, am I going to be able to put the bags in their rooms before they check in? (DF and I are checking in a few days beforehand)

Thanks for answering my stupid questions lol :goodvibes

I don't think your questions are stupid!!

I think the answers depend a lot on what you want to do. I'm doing welcome bags and I'm distributing them at my welcome dinner at Ohana. I know a lot of brides have or plan on distributing them to the various resorts. If you do a search, you can find out all the necessary information you need to put on the outside to make sure they're delivered correctly upon check in.

As far as your in town guests, that's up to you. All of my guests are out of town, but some of them won't be there for the welcome dinner. I'm still making welcome bags up for them (b/c I'm putting in things like candy, snacks and water bottles.) If I had guests who weren't even staying in the resorts one night... I might not. Really it's your own discretion. Are you also giving a favor at your reception? Maybe your in-town guest will never even know about or miss a welcome bag. How can you welcome them anyhow if they're in town?!? It's totally up to you. Good Luck!! :thumbsup2

given my present state of mind, i might not be the best person to answer this question, but i'll try...

i'm doing welcome bags, i think i have 45 of them. the majority will be given out at the resorts, i have some that i'll TRY to give out the day before/day of the wedding, but at this point, if it doesn't happen, i'm over it.

Hey! I have the same situation as you. I am only giving my welcome bags to people that are staying at the resorts. I am going to drop the bags of at the resorts so they can be waiting in their rooms. HTH!

i've designated this as my fathers prime, #1 and really only duty for the wedding prep section of next week.

We are doing Welcome bags and our rules was they get one bag per room reservation, and each bag is the same, this way large families in 2 rooms get 2 bags and couples /singles get one. We will be giving them out at our welcome party. I didn't want to spend the extra time making the card that need to go on them if your taking them to the hotels.

You guys are great...thanks for all the help! :) I'm going to try to get started on them VERY early so I don't stress later. Keira...how many people are you inviting and how many are actually staying there? Its hard to tell when we live an hour away right??LoL

i made labels for my bags with the res #'s and info on them. then i just printed out the spreadsheet that dftw sent me of my room block and i'll give that to my dad to make the delivery requests...
