Another way to Saving with MWY.

I never know when I might get to WDW it was 12 yrs between trip 1 and 2. But I'm always planning a trip. Who knows when the next refinance will yeild extra money for a trip?? But WDW pass prices have being riasing faster than airline tickets.

I see that MWY is cheaper than an AP $403.64 Adults.

MWY is cheaper than the price of a 7-Day Park
Hopper PLUS includes 4 plus features - $364.23.[plusses I would never use]

MWY non expiring tickets without Plusses are Cheaper $222.59

Now all those wanting a 1 day or two 2 day hopper CAN GET them!!

Now I Can get a ten day hopper [no plusses] for $247.08, a big savings in Dollars!![the only way that matters to me!!!

Oh yeah!! I see this as a great thing. My friend of mine booked for August under the Dream Makers package for 7 days 6 nights at about $2200 in a value resort. Their family has 2 adults 1 child and 1 junior. Under the new plan that's quoted on Disney's website, a family during regular season (which is during our stay) Their family (of 2 adults 1 child and 1 junior) can stay for under $1500. No, they don't get to hop (but they have 7 days and 4 parks) and they already have 'plus' options from previous tickets. A savings of $700!!!! Needless to say, they are now excited about extended their stay offsite or even Universal for a few nights!!!

And if they do want to hop, it's 1 flat fee of $35 ($37.28 with tax) per ticket, per peson.
This works out to just over $5 per day on 1 seven-day ticket =$211.94 + $37.28=$249.22

Lot cheaper than a AP at $403.64 Adults!!

I'm excited about it too! We bought 4 day park hopper passes; but now I'm going to upgrade and get 7 day, non park hopper, but with the expiration part so I'll have 3 extra days and hopefully go not only in January, but I want to go again in October for my bday! PLUS, with the dining option, we'll save a TON of money b/c we always do sit down dinners at night which usually is $100 each. I'm just waiting to see the room rates for the packages.

MWY non expiring tickets without Plusses are Cheaper $222.59

Just to clarify, $222.59 is for a 10-day ticket that DOES expire. If you want the no expiration feature, you'd have to add $106.50 for a total of $329.09.

I've been crunching numbers all morning trying to figure out the best option for our upcoming trips. Our original plan was to get AP's, go in February for a week then come back right before they expire (and before our youngest turns 3) and spend another week.

I compared the AP rates to all the various MYW non-expiring tickets and came to the conclusion that AP's are still our best option. 10-day non-expiring MYW passes with hoppers and the plus package worked out to about $18 more then the AP's for 2 adults and 1 child (I also took into account having to pay for parking since we're staying offsite). Our kids are too little to really enjoy the water parks or DisneyQuest so the pluses don't really matter. Even when you deduct the cost of the pluses, the price difference isn't large enough for the limitations we'd have (with AP's, we'd probably go to the parks more then 10 days).

At any rate, the MYW passes can be a great deal in certain circumstances, but it's worth taking the time to compare options.

So you have a 1 time flat fee!! Not a daily fee per pass.

The hopper option is a $35 (+ tax) flat fee. The non expiration fee for a 10 day pass is $100 + tax.
