Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

OK, I am only at $20.31 this month with Expo TV so far. I need to get cracking-LOL. I am going to do some Shared Reviews today too. I am up to $40 on that site. I am saving all my extra $ for a Disney Adventures trip next fall. :thumbsup2

My Magic Bullet video made the Expo home page! Wow! They sent me a t-shirt out of the blue for that one too. I feel like Sally Field at the Oscars years ago "They like me, they really, really like me!" :rotfl2:

Congrats! Wow, I didn't get anything for making the home page! Though my views from it took a few days to show up and I ended up with over 100 extra views. Cha ching! Hope you get some high viewership.

How does shared review work? Do you do videos just like for Expo? And how do they pay you? Paypal?

Shared Reviews pays you $10 for every 5 reviews you write. Right now, you can add videos through a webcam, but I haven't been able to get videos to upload like with Expo. They pay weekly (if you have money earned) through Pay Pal. While in Beta testing, the limit is 50 reviews. But you can make extra by referring people. The more reviews they do, the more credits you get. There's supposed to be more once it goes into full operation, but they haven't said what it is yet.

Can someone help me out with the shared reviews. I cannot find where to read all the rules, like can my husband do it to? Does it have to still be available? Can it be a .com store and so on.

I was late to start in on this one and then they were out of money. I didn't realized that they had replenished it so much.

Expo just upped their cap this month to 75 too. I havent done not 1 this month nor has dh. Ya think me and dd can do 150 videos in one day? Lol.

Yes, your DH can do reviews too. Make sure you refer him! I have done reviews for stuff from .com stores that have been accepted.

They seem to be back logged. So even though it says they have almost $8,000 left, I wouldn't count on it lasting very long. I have some pending from a week ago. I'm trying to get them in quick because I don't want to be at the bottom and them run out of money again.

Whoo! Trying to get into shared reviews and now back to expo. Seems expo is a bit more profitable and quicker but I'll take a dollar anywhere I can get it now a days!

With Shared reviews can you review the same products as long as you don't say the exact same thing?

Yes. I write all my SR while I just ad lib my Expo reviews. Shared Review is very careful about plagiarism, so make sure you don't say the same thing you did in another review (whether it's Expo or a shopping site like Amazon) or use the same words as another site.

Sorry if this has been asked before but for SR do you upload pictures, videos, or neither? I got the impression it was writing only (750 words or something?) but when I went on to do a review it looked like it wanted a video.

Thanks for the help!

For Shared Reviews you don't have to have a picture or a video, but you can if you want to. I have uploaded a picture if I have one, but for most I have just written about the product or place. It's 750 characters that you have to write - it amounts to about 7 lines in their box.

I see Expo has raised the October cap to 75 !! How nice of them to give us 2 days to get them in. I already had several made for November so I have been trying to get some in since 7:45 this morning and have only gotten 2 in. I'm sure they are overloaded right now. Maybe I'll try later. . .

I only have about 40 for expo this month. I was trying to do the majority dvd reviews---since I have done all the $10 reviews I can.

Not sure if I will be able to even get 60. Oh well....2 more days to try!`

That's what I'm worried about. I have some recorded, left from August when the they changed the promotions on us. However, they're toys and scrapbooking items and I'm afraid they'll raise at least the toys. I know that $2 is better than nothing, but if I'm going to submit $2 items, I want them to be something like groceries or personal items, since I don't anticipate them increasing those, unless that start doing flat rate again.

Anyway, I'm going to work on my 15 during DS's nap time and then help DH with his when he gets off work. Keeping my fingers cross we can get them in.

Just got an email from Expo and saw that MomofCKJ and MNWDWManiac were chosen as videos of the week. Good job DISers!!

I only did 14 reviews this month but almost all were travel reviews. I need to get started on our DVD collection.

So did I read correctly that you have to have the movie/tv show on in the background?

I uploaded quite a few today, probably 10-15 without problems, they got approved within a couple of hours, but still have some from yesterday not approved.
