Just got an email from Expo and saw that MomofCKJ and MNWDWManiac were chosen as videos of the week. Good job DISers!!

I only did 14 reviews this month but almost all were travel reviews. I need to get started on our DVD collection.

So did I read correctly that you have to have the movie/tv show on in the background?

Thank you! Made me laugh! This Magic Bullet video has gotton me the T shirt, the extra pennies from being on the home page and now being in the newsletter. I just have to crack up because it isn't all that great! I was shocked they even accepted it because you hear my dog barking partway through it!

I uploaded quite a few today, probably 10-15 without problems, they got approved within a couple of hours, but still have some from yesterday not approved.

I have 40 videos pending and some are from last week about 15 of them were done on Monday.

Does anyone still have the October rules? I can only find the November rules on the expo site. I'm wondering if these rules were there for the travel destination category.

Destination reviews must include the Submitter's own original on-location footage or photographs featuring the submitter and must feature a recognizable tourist destination, as determined within the sole discretion of ExpoTV. Photographs should be edited into the video or shown from a video screen. Photo prints are not acceptable.

My friend just had 8 rejected for the same thing. I checked the October rules yesterday when she got them and it was there. I had done some in September or August where I just held up photos and they were fine but apparently at some point they changed the rules. Sorry it happened to you too.

Hmm, i had mine on the computer screen and did them that way. I will be bummed if that is the case, guess I better figure out how to edit them in a video. I am so glad I did not sit here and do that tonight like I had thought about!

Thanks Allyson. I guess I need to completely read the TOS every month. The bummer is that I spent a long time during the first 2 weeks of October watching new travel reviews to see how others were doing them. At that point just about every video just showed pictures. My fault for not reading the TOS.

Shown from the computer screen is fine. It is just that they apparently are not allowing you anymore to actually hold up prints to the camera like they did in the past. You can just do a slideshow on your computer and aim your camera at that.

Is anyone else having trouble uploading to Expo? I had trouble on the 30th & 31st, I only got 7 uploaded in 2 days. I just figured it was because they had upped the cap to 75 at the last minute and everyone was trying to upload. But now even today I can't get any in. . . I am getting very frustrated!!

I actually had no trouble yesterday afternoon around 3pm or so. I got about 10 uploaded in an hour.

I uploaded 55 in the 30th and 31st. DH has to wait until the last minute and it bugs me! I was until 11:40 just doing that for him, but I really wanted the extra money. They were going fairly quick, but have seen them go through quicker.

I am late on this, but it was exciting to get an email with MomofCKJ and MNWDWManiac in the Expo Newsletter. I still try to watch videos once a week at work. My boss is out on Mondays so I can have the window open all day. Both of the above were really great!

I haven’t made any new ones. I have no reason, we just haven’t. I hope to get some made for this month. Plus we are going to Disneyland!! At the end of the month so maybe I can do some live reports while there. It would have been nice to have some extra money. I am such a slacker.

Were you featured on Shared Reviews? I sent in 10 reviews and all but 1 are pending. The one that was approved is the last one I did.

Yes, yesterday I think I was ranked number 5 on Shared Reviews!

That's strange, they are supposed to go in the order they are submitted on Shared Reviews. I would post a question about that on their forum if I were you. They used to get to them the same day I submitted them but now it is at least a week behind, but they always go in the order I submit them.

Hey everyone! I joined Shared reviews and I really like it. I had 10 reviews approved and 6 pending. I plan on doing more tonight. I haven't started Expotv yet but plan on it. If anyone doesn't mind answering how much are you making a month? TIA!

On expo since August I have done as many as I could for atleast $5, so about $250-300 a month depending on video cap. August I did make the max $1000. July I started late but still ended up with over $250.

Shared reviews I too just started, have about 10-15 approved, not been paid yet. I'll max out for the month though.

Thanks for the info! No on SR is the max every month or is it a maximum amount total and that's it?

Sorry, no idea on that. I am trying to learn about it myself. I don't see limits anywhere but someone else had mentioned 75, I was thinking per month.
