It is kinda funny, but we are all in this together!

I have no idea what is going on with Expotv, but I couldn't get in either this afternoon.

I can assume that with it being end of the month, that a lot of people are downloading at this time?

Oh. Great. I finally get in and find my last video from 8/15/07 was found to be out of sync.

I can only suspect that they are rejecting it to save $10. It was not out of sync on my computer and the other videos I created that day were all approved.

Oh, and I work in sound for a living. I know from sync.

what is wrong with this picture? Do YOU SEE any that are over 50MB from this list????? For what it is worth I was uploading the 7MB one when I got that message

And even more interesting?

All of my pending videos are now out of sync.



They were not the day after I submitted them. And of course I have nothing but pet products since I submitted the rest of my pet products on 8/22 to beat the deadline.


I smell something fishy as my travel videos waiting for approvals are in sync.

I think something is odd too! I had three that were rejected because they said "reviewer is not submitter". Well, I did email them and re-read the rules and it said kids 13+ could do them, and I included that quote from their rules! PLUS I had a BUNCH that were accepted from my daughter and my son, without my face in them at all. So, I at last get an email today saying they took care of two out of the three, but the 3rd one (the $10 one of course! ) was scrambled in the middle! Ummmmm no! And it CERTAINLY wasn't scrambled when I uploaded. Of course now if I re-upload it goes to $2!

Also when Lesley was talking about how her travel reviews were rejected---ummmmm I have a couple that I'm not in the PICTURES at all. I show my face of course reviewing the place, but not in the pictures. Sometimes I don't HAVE a picture of me there as I'm always the photographer! Plus one my daughter TOTALLY did and I'm not any where! And it was approved, no problems!

Anyway! They really need to be consistent with their rules! I think the people who accept/reject them ALL need to be on the same page!! That's the part that drives me nuts! If were clear cut one way--OK! I do NOT have a problem following rules, I just wish they would state them clearly and then STICK to it! One way or another, just decide!

I got 10 more travel reviews rejected today for not being in the video. I went back and reviewed my 5 travel ones that they did approve this month and in two of them I wasn't shown at ALL, go figure. They do need to be consistent. I re did the ones that I wasn't in and found photos that I was in, or I had my son with me reviewing the places and doing the voiceovers since he was the one in the photo's, now they better take those! I am up to 415 dollars and my husband crept into 590 today, YEAH!!! We both have our 100 in and are praying they get approved, I have about 10 extra done that I could submit if they get rejected before the 31st. Do you know if you can submit over 100 and they just ACCEPT 100 for the month? I would rather go over in case a few get rejected.

Well, I just got my first odd rejection...

This conditioner is a new product- and it IS currently available. Grrr.

Yes, Expo is acting very strange. I was uploading a video and the part I always thought should be a progress bar but never moved was actually moving today. Then, it stopped, staying the server was being located and sat there for about 10 minutes like always. Then, it took me back to the terms and condition page. It said nothing like "can't upload" or "thank you". I looked at my pending vids and it's not there, so now I'm redoing it.

Those of you who have NO rejects, congrats to you, BUT HOW?!?!? I don't have any rejects, but hubby does because we worked out all the kinks on his before I even started an account.

And no, they aren't consistent what soever. DH and I uploaded TONS of babyfood since it was all listed as baby. He has about 15 approved for $10 and 3 approved for $2. I have about half $10/half $2 for a total of 20 vids, with more pending. I emailed them and told them that they were all listed as feeding, baby and kids and had they not been listed that way, I would have concentrated my time elsewhere. The response was that it was from a prior promotion and to be consistent, they have to keep it at $2. Makes no sense. They made the mistake of listing them under baby and kids, they should honor it. However, I'm afraid if I keep at them, they will take the bonus off the dozen or so that DH and I did get approved for $10.00.

DH keeps telling me that this is free money, so be happy with what we get. I am happy, but I hate it that on the night of the 22nd, I spent time uploading baby food stuff and I couldn't get to the other stuff that I know would have been $10. And on the night of the 10th, I was uploading stuff out of sync because they were taking forever to respond so I had no idea they weren't working. I'll be glad to get to next month!

Question: does anyone know if large appliances (dishwashers, stoves, etc) only pay $2?

With all the fussing expo is doing with the travel reviews... makes me wonder if travel is moving down to the $5 category on Sept 1.

In fact, I am dying to know what reviews will downgrade to the $5 category and what will stay $10. I would assume no $2 videos will upgrade to the $5 category... hmmm... perhaps the only category that stands a chance at an "upgrade" is the movies now playing at theaters category. Who knows.

Sorry this is happening to you. Have you had any accepted at all? I know my files were too big before I changed the setting on my camera down to 320 x 240 pixels (not sure that is exact number). tink

I was able to get a couple uploaded last night - I just left them uploading while I went to bed and this morning the two went. This morning, I've been able to get one in, but otherwise I keep getting taken back to the terms and condition page .

DH and I each have 60 approved. He's up to $586 and I'm at $464. It's that stinken baby food that got me, I'm still pissed! Anyway, if expo will cooperate, I've got the remaining 9 that Dh needs to get to 100. I don't think I'll make it. I've been spending too much time trying to get them uploaded!

I have had 2 of my 3 approved which is why I started again last night. in the photo below you will see that none of my files are over 50MB so it is there end for sure

I have been having the exact same problem you have. I've been trying all morning and every time it tells me my file size is too big. But it's not!!! I've never had this problem before and my file sizes are anywhere between 4-10MB per video. If you figure out how to fix this, please let me know. Is anyone else having this problem??

There is a thread on the expotv forum under the bugs section where people have complained about this very issue... so (misery loves company) luckily we are not alone in this and it seems like a system issue moreso a user error.

I posted that picture above in hopes someone from headquarters will see it and wonder, "Hmm maybe there is something wrong 7.6 is less than 50" or maybe they will just say, "Hmm what a moron, we here at expotv all know that 50MB is less than 7.6MB... keep rejecting the uploads from these dummies!"

Yes, I am having the same issue right now. Most of my reviews are 2-3MB and I am getting the "file too large" message today. Annoying as we only have a few more days to upload the $10 ones.

OOOOOOH, I get to join another club!

They are also not taking my videos because of fil size and I know that 4.6 is MUCH, MUCH lower than 50.

I will go report this now on their forums and see what they say.

Also, check your balances. My balance did not move with the last 7 videos approved (all pets/kids/sports). My earnings page states 60/43. However, when I count the number of approved videos, I have 67. I then clicked on the "43" to show which items I was paid bonus on and none of the last 7 are there, so my balance is not reflecting my last $70.00. UGH!

I'm still patiently waiting for approvals/rejections on my last 9 August reviews I uploaded on the 21st and 22nd. They still say "pending". I hope if they get to them fast so I can redo them if they're rejected.
