Another way to make a little extra cash for our Disney funds

I’m really excited. For the second month in a row all 100 of my videos were approved. I now have 200 approved without a single rejection!

And in one week I’ll be in Disney!!! :cloud9:

 woo hooo...good going! I had all mine approved last month..still uploading for this month...Dh is getting a lot of rejections though so hes getting kind of ticked off. Ive about done everything 10 dollar I could find around here so I figure if I have to do 2 dollar items its going to be food items. Ive been digging in my fridge and cupboard for the last hour doing videos.

I was browsing videos and came across a whole bunch entitled Holiday Tips from last December. They are kind of neat, people just giving tips on everything from wrapping paper ideas to shopping. It must have been a promo they did. They are kind of fun to watch!

Thank you for sharing that. I would have never thought to look something like that up, but I did now, and I'm enjoying them! There was one woman who was trying to talk about how she made a purse and her kid kept screaming for his father, interrupting her! :lmao: Poor woman, I feel her pain! I always have to "warn" everyone, and yet they still scream for each other! :headache:

Ok only 16 more vids to go to be done for this month. I fell short of 10.00 items at 68, so if it has to be 2.00 they are getting the rest of them in grocery and foods! :rotfl2:

Well, after spending a week + :crazy2: reading this thread, I've decided to join Expo. Only wish I had gotten on board sooner.

If anyone would like a referral, just pm me.

Thanks for the suggestion. Who couldn't use a few extra bucks to spend at Disney? :)
Regards,

Ok this is weird. When I go to preview my uploads on expo I can see them all EXCEPT for the travel reviews. They just go to a blue screen and I cant get them to play. Has anyone else had this deal? Did your reviews get approved?

I just joined & have been trying to upload my first video for two days with no luck. I've read on the boards that others were having issues as well. To any of the veterans out there, are Quicktime movies an acceptable format? That's what my camera creates & I'm wondering if that's the problem?

I dont know anything about quick time. Ive been using movie maker to edit mine and the only time I have problems is when the site is slow or down. In fact, I uploaded about 15 this morning with no problems at all in less than an hour.

Im not too sure about quick time, I think everyone uses Windows media movie maker, because it's the safest bet. As for it being slow, it's almost the end of the month, so be prepared to have it either super slow or completely down for the next week. I would recommend you make all of your videos and edit them and such, and start getting em' ready for the 1st week of Sept. :thumbsup2

Thanks all for the info - just spent a couple hours checking out Expo
I'm going to show this thread and the Expo site to my teen since it appears she can participate if I create an account.

Seems like a great way for her to make some money regularly as well. :thumbsup2

All 35 of mine were rejected for "poor audio quality." When I played them in the preview mode- there was no sound for some reason. I uploaded one separately after I had seen that a bunch were rejected (thinking maybe it was the time I uploaded it and the site was off, not me). Nope. Still doesn't have sound.

They all play fine on my computer, but once uploaded on the site- there's no sound. I really don't get it and got so frustrated I gave up. I was thinking of putting some on a USB drive and trying to upload from either my work computer or DBF's computer. Ugh!!!

Any suggestions for me????? :headache: :headache: :headache:

I had the EXACT same problem. They played fine on my computer and then after I uploaded them on expo they were all messed up. They said it had something to do with the codec? I am using Windows Movie Maker now with no problems!

I have had 4 approved...so have a 'free' 40 bucks!

I'm not on my computer at home, but I'm guessing Windows Movie Maker is on most computers. I recorded all of my videos in AVI format, then converted to WMV (I think that's what it's called). But to save room I deleted the original AVI ones. I'm wondering if I could use the WMV in Windows Movie Maker? I just don't want to have to re-record all 35+ of them!

Thanks for the advice... I'll have to look into it when I get on my home computer.

Quicktimes are accepted as long as they are in .avi format.

Most of us have problems with expo. Sometimes it's us, sometimes it's them, but it is very time consuming trying to figure it all out, so good luck with that! ;)

Yes, Quicktime is fine for expo. Many of us Kodak Easy Share users have to rely on Quicktime. I have never been able to use Windows Movie Maker for expo.

Actually, I do not convert my Quicktimes to .avi format. I just leave them in the .mov (?) format Quicktime/Easy Share put them in. I am very new to all this video stuff and had to learn fast for expo. Like I said, good luck!

Deleting the original files may be the problem. I did that and couldn't open the converted file. I lost a few things, thankfully It was intros and endings for 2 vids so reshooting was quick.

I convert my .mov files to .avi for use in movie maker. My conversion program has codec as part of the file type in the drop down menu. I don't have to convert at all if I am not editing, they seem to uplaod just fine. I have 2 approved vids, both were uploaded with out editing. I'm still waiting on an approval for something I've edited.

HTH someone!
