Another waitlist question

We have ressies at SSR 1 bedroom April 26th and OKW studio April 27-30 and are on a waitlist for BWV,BCV or WLV studio. What are the chances that at this short of notice the waitlist will come through. I'm going on a spur of the moment trip with DS(5) and just don't want to have to change resorts. By the afternoon he is really tired and usually needs to nap or is unbearable. Fri. will be terrible if we can't get into a room until 4:00 p.m. Thanks for the help.

This past march we did a last minute ressie two weeks before we wanted leave. We got OKW 1st night, BCV 3 nights then back to OKW for the last night. We got in late for the first night so we didn't mind going to OKW(but we really don't care for that resort) Bell services drove us over to BCV the next morning and I made sure I asked about the last night but they didn't have anything. So I made a point to ask the front desk everynight while we were coming home to check for us. On Tuesday night or wednesday morning I asked again and a studio at BCV came avaliable for Thursday night. And we didn't have to move rooms. It was GREAT. So never give up.

I don't think your chances are very good.

Of course it is still possible as you never know when other people's plans may change. That said, DVC members tend to avoid cancellations inside the 30 day window if at all possible.

Have you considered waitlisting for an OKW studio for Apr 26? I think your chances of getting one night at OKW are much, much greater than getting all 5 nights at BCV, VWL or BWV.

I thought about waitlisting for OKW BUT, I didn't think we would use our points this year and banked all points the end of March, we have Oct. as a beginning year, so I borrowed points and the current ressie is 92 points and so would the BCV, VWL, BWV, studio at OKW would be less and I would loss the points I borrowed if not used by Oct. Which they won't. Anyway, my other question is it appears by the WDW website reservations there is a studio available for those nights at BWV. I'm not sure way this is. I supect it has to do with having rooms for those paying cash or something. Anyway, do they ever release these rooms at a certain time if no reservations come in on a cash bases for DVC members to then use their points. I'm new to this and not sure how it all works yet. So if anyone can enlighten me that would be great.
