another wait list question

I am always paranoid about the worst, so I thought I'd check out the possible scenarios of getting on the waitlist since I've never done it before.
I am already booked at SSR Tuesday-Tuesday.
At 7 months (September) I am going to try to get BLT lake view 1BR for 3 nights, a Tues/wed/thurs. If I get waitlisted, and say Wednesday comes through but not the other two, what happens? Do they just wait until all 3 come through or does it become a mess of checking out/in?
Just asking because I am also trying to get AKV Kidani standard OR savanna for Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon--worried about same thing--really only want to do one resort switch, but this is over Easter and don't know how it will work out.
Just would rather wait for all 3 BLT nights, and all 4 AKV nights, or just not move at all.

If you are WL and part of the time is available but not all, they skip over you and give it to someone who's asking for that time or they simply open it up. You don't get 2 of 3 days now and possibly the other later.
