Another Video Game Question-X-Men

DD wants the X-Men game (PlayStation 2) for her 10th birthday next month. She played it over Christmas w/ her older (22 yr. old) cousin. They both said it wasn't anything too bad and I am inclined to trust her on that. It is rated T (for some violence and mild language). She watches the X-men cartoon and has seen the movie.

I have 2 questions about it. 1st, did the X-Men II PS2 game just come out around Christmas? I am trying to figure out exactly which one they were playing and haven't been able to get in touch w/ DN.

2nd, has anyone on here played it and can you fill me in on just how violent it is (Is is like the cartoon?) and how bad the language is?

The violence factor is quite high, but just like the movies/comics, the characters use their unique abilites to beat the bad guys rather than guns. No real graphic stuff, but lots of beating the bad guys.

As for when they came out, it's a real popular series with lots of sequels. You would have to ask which specific version.
