Another UY question -- Sorry!

We own at BLT and have a February UY. I am a bit confused.

My Feb 09 pts are valid for stays Feb 1, 09-Jan31,10?
My Feb 10 pts are valid for stays Feb 1, 10-Jan31,11?

This is where it gets confusing....

I want a reservation for Jan 10....I will use my remaining 09 pts and then have to "borrow" my '10 pts. If for some reason I have to cancel that reservation would I lose all of the pts because of my Feb UY?

If you borrow points from your February, 2010 Use Year and later cancel that reservation, the points will be returned to your account and must be used for travel by January 31, 2010. The borrowed points cannotbe returned to their original Use Year and cannot be banked.

If you are using them for a trip in January, 2010 you should be sure you won't need to cancel. This is the reason for the suggestion to have a Use Year that starts just before you will usually travel.
