If we get two contracts say for 200 points each with the same use year lets say Dec and we want to make a weekly reservation where it takes 400 points will they let me combine the contracts or do i have to make one ressie for 3 days then one ressie for 4 days ? The reason I ask is that most people on here say its better to buy small contracts as compared to larger ones for resale.

Thanks

It depends.

If you buy both contracts from Disney directly, then yes. Disney will automatically set the first contract up as your Master and make the second an add on to it. So the Master contract will have a number xxxxxxxxx.000 and your add on contract will be xxxxxxxxx.001. You will have only one membership number.

If you buy resale, you have to be very specific with your broker/closing company that you want the two contracts set up as a Master & add on. Disney may or may not set it up that way if no directions are given to them. If you aren't specific, you may end up with two membership numbers (two Master contracts) and then you will not be able to combine points from the two contracts to reserve a single night.

You do have to have the same use year for both contracts to go the Master & Add-on route, but home resort does not have to be the same. If the home resort is different, you won't be able to combine until the 7 month window.

So how would you make a week ressie with two diff contracts?
Assuming you mean two separate (different member ship numbers):

You can reserve 3 nights with one contract and 4 nights with the other. Then ask MS to link the two reservation so that they appear and behave as one.

Or you could transfer points from one contract to the other and make the entire reservation from one contract. That would use up your one transfer per use year per contract for both contracts.
