another upgrade question

we have booked with virgin and have got the vector simililar i.e the biggest car i.e saloon question is how much more is it for a four wheel drive for two weeks, is it alot more

Hi Debby,

That is classed as an <b>Intermediate</b>. A four wheel drive falls into the <b>Sports Utility</b> category and is the most expensive of all. In order of expense, the categories are:

Economy
Compact
Intermediate
Full Size
Premium
Luxury
Convertible
Mini-van
Sports Utility

The last four (Luxury through to Sports Utility), are all much of a muchness as far as cost is concerned. I reckon it will be in the region of $100-$140 a week to upgrade at the desk.

Although I've not done this before (might have to this time) the general message on these boards is that it's best to upgrade from the UK, or negotiate hard once in the US.

I agree - we upgraded last year online and when we arrived in Orlando they were quoting us double what we had already paid. Since I do all the driving I like to get the best car I can!!!
