I've never been to either of the parks during the Holidays when the decor is up. That is something I would love to do, but my family freaks every time I mention that we should go to Disney for Christmas. They are a bit more traditional than I am I guess.

I was born in Garden Grove, but we moved to WA when I was 5. However, my grandparents lived in Anaheim, so my sister & I used to just about live at DL because we spent every summer with them. Back in the good old days. They used to drop us off at the front gate (back when you could drive right up to the front gate), we carefully rationed out our ticket booklets, had to meet them for dinner at the DL Hotel so they could check up on us, then we stayed until closing. When the fireworks started my grandfather would drive over to pick us up.

Oh wow. I remember the tickets. There were never enough E-tickets. I miss the pirate ship restaraunt in Fantasyland. I can remember getting the best tuna sandwich there. And the Sky Buckets. I hadn't gone for years and when we went back in like 2001 I was in shock. What a change.

We have gone in the beginning of December before and it is so magical and beautiful.

Yep! Those E tickets were like gold. I had not been to DL from about 1981 until a couple of years ago. So it was really a shock for me. My sister moved to Florida a few years ago, so we started going to WDW. But then I met up with the Hyena crowd here and started going to DL also.:thumbsup2

I love Disneyland and I pretty much drive my kids nuts with it. I would rather go there on vacation than anywhere else.

My 17yo DD feels the same way...oh no, we don't have to go to Disney again do we?LOL! Actually my favorite park is the Typhoon Lagoon waterpark at WDW.

I decided not to do the fly casting class tomorrow. Instead I'm going to hit a few garage sales, maybe a few thrift centers.

darn slow down...

I watched the lil guy while my sis had her yearly boo- by squish. :thumbsup2

The we trolled my neighborhood--- found out there were special garage sales to benefit our highschool baseball program.. 10 sales, lighter wallets and heavy bags later... That was fun!
Perfect day today , still in the 70's but it is not lasting , high of shiver 56. Sniffle sniffle, ah well it was fun while it lasted.

We were about 63 today. A bit cool, but about average for this time of year. It sucks that many of the garage sales start on Friday when I have to work.

Tomorrow is coupon bonanza shopping day, been putting it off too long.
Got my lists, piulled the coupons and set up my binder/box -- hitting Super Target and my local gorcery store.

Invited MIL, SIL and SIL's BF to come visit if they want. We shall see what happens.

sigh... must beat the cat... she is pawing my closet door in hopes it will magically pop open. I put a small ironing board in front of the bifold doors-- HA! Take that you fur shedding, nail scratching curiosity seeker!
Mrrrrreeow... off she saunters to pick on someone else.

heee heee heee, they start on Thursdays here. It was already picked over at some places by afternoon.
Saturday is typically a last chance day, chance to strike a deal on the leftovers.

DD has requested that I not buy her anymore clothes at garage sales. OK, fine I say. Then I say "do you mind if I ask why". She tells me because the clothes are old. :confused3 What do you mean by that, I ask. She says "THEY'RE USED".

Uh yeah...you do realize that everything you wear is used. What you are wearing right now is used. She then gets a funny look on her face. Like it never even occured to her that once she wears the clothes once, they are used!

Now I know why college exists. Because if I had to live with a teenage girl for a few more years I would probably go insane.

Sundays are the last chance days here. Although some people only do them on Fridays & Saturdays. Saturday mornings are pretty good, especially this early in the season. A lot of people don't even start going to garage sales until June when kids are out of school and weather is warmer. I find that I get much better stuff now than in the summer.

Well if I'm getting up early in the morning I'd better get to sleep. Happy Dreams!:cloud9:

hmm searched for "random pumpkin" and I got this...

Good Morning Hyenas! Sort of a cloudy, cool day here. Maybe a few sprinkles possible, but not much in the way of precipitation. Waiting for that first cup of coffee and then headed out to garage sale. :scared1:
