Hey!
the babies are too cute! I'm glad to hear they are going well!

Hey!
How are you? What's happening?
I'm doing well. Had some delays on our flight home and didn't end up getting home until about 2am Thursday. So still a bit tired. Spent the last couple of days at work trying to get caught up on things. I'm going to get up early tomorrow and go in for a bit also, maybe Sunday too. Other than work and unpacking, not much else happening.
What about yourself?
Boring can be good sometimes. I'm about ready to head to bed, my body still doesn't know what time zone it's in.
Goodnight Alison! Get some restI'm going to go read The Time Traveler's Wife....almost finished with it.

Howdy Peoples!!!
Today is my only day off this week
We knew (secret insider information) that we would have a MAJOR inspection, so I was there just to make sure all went good(we got a 94.1)
Today I took the kiddos to the Easter egg hunt - it was super windy and cold, but they had a blast. It is so much fun to go to community events - because we always see the same people. Teachers, coworkers, kids in the same classes, kids from sports - I really love my small community
That reminds me of a funny story - power went out at work yesterday. The town I work at is super tiny compared to where we live - population 3000. I call the lady from APS, give her my address, including town, and then she asks for my crossroads. I had to explain to her that we had two stoplights and one major street - and assured her they would have no problem finding me!!!

Yesterday was sunny and starting to warm up again. Today, back to the gray and cooler temps. Forecast predicted snow, but it's too warm right now (40's) maybe at night time. Or we will get that icky slushy rain/snow mix- yuck!
We made a trek out to the closest Trader Joe's this morning... busy shopping area. Lots of people roaming the store, looking for goodies.
We got:
chili spiced mango slices- yum!
chocolate covered cranberries -- E picked them out
nuts
fruit leather
Joe-Joe's (the boys already ate 1/2 the box, store bought cookies is a rare treat here)
frozen bell peppers (cheaper than buying fresh)
frozen cubes of crushed garlic (cute packge and incredibly smart idea!)
orange chicken (read reviews and everyone raves about it )
Guacomole (darn samples sucked E into buying it
pomegranate limeade (again sample lured him in)
garlic hummos
tzitki sauce
vegie tortilla flaxseed chips (yummy!, hubby is trying to increase omega 3's)
green curry simmer sauce (something new for us to try)
buffalo bugers w mushroom and cheese
chili lime chicken burgers
tamales (slightly cheaper than our fave mexican deli.. we shall see..we've become tamale snobs over the years, not many measure up to our fave place in St Paul)
plaintain chips (hmm, intersting but good)
pizza dough (again rave reviews, cheap for the convenience, one less thing for me to do)
and
choc covered frozen bananas (sweet! screw DL prices, I gots me my favey treat woohooo! Hope they are good!)
We decided Trader Joe's is in the good for you junk food category of shopping, fun to find little treasures that we can't find at our local grocery chain (or not quite as healthy, inexpensive, or as good as Trader Joe's brand).
Eventually we will find our faves and make it a regular shopping trip.
I know Pix and Sara shop at Tj"s.. any faves to share???
I so know that feeling, arguing with customer service people on the phone, trying to tell them that it's really a tiny town, 2 stoplights. They never seem to understand that crossroads mean nothing...instead you need directions like turn right at the big pine tree, go 3 miles, make a left at the green house.![]()
