We haven't quite figured it out for hubby either. You know how it is for teachers without tenure.. no job is guarenteed for next year.
His district does a bidding system, if someone else with more seniority wants to teach MS science (and is qualified) they can bid for the position and hubby would be out of that job. And need to compete with other low ranking teachers for another position in the district... or drop out and just sub. It stinks! There is talk of doing away with tenure-- at this point I would say YES .. but 5 years from now... I might not like that idea. What can ya do?![]()
Yeah.. its tricky stuff. I know the only way dh is getting laid off is if his shop gets shut down. I dont know how likely THAT is to happen. Im hoping it doesnt, its not like there is a whole lot of need for aerospace machinists right now.
