Well DS wasn't feeling well enough to go to basketball practice tonight, so we are spending a nice quiet night at home.

Groovy. We are getting the fellas ready for "man day" tomorrow. They are starting off with a trip to Cabellas, then hitting various gun stores.. and other such man places.. Topped off with a trip to the Western Washington Sportsmans Show. Can i tell you that I am SO freaking happy I am WAY to pregnant to go. BORING. I told Frelan he needed to plan a day for Alex.. He got together with his buddy, and this is what they came up with. But he will have fun.

Topped off with a trip to the Western Washington Sportsmans Show. Can i tell you that I am SO freaking happy I am WAY to pregnant to go. BORING. I told Frelan he needed to plan a day for Alex.. He got together with his buddy, and this is what they came up with. But he will have fun.

I love going to Cabelas. But I think I could pass on the gun store. I got most of my fly fishing gear at the Bargain Cave at Cabelas. Bet they will have a great time.

I'm hoping that DS will be feeling well enough to go back to school tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll load him up and take him to work with me again. I'm so looking forward to Saturday and a sleep in late day! DS's basketball game isn't until 1pm. The last two have been early.

Nah! The moment's gone, can't recapture it. Sort of like everyone remembering your birthday the day after. Just not the same.

I should go fishing on Saturday or Sunday. Yeah, that would be fun...I haven't had a chance to try out my new gear yet. What could be more fun then standing in the middle of a lake with waterproof rubber overalls on??

I would go if I had to.. I could stand it. But... Im glad I dont have to. I know they will have fun. Alex just loves doing man things with Frelan and his buddies.

I wonder if I could sneak out of the house and take Mikalah to the book store tomorrow. Nah.. I would probably forget to readjust the seat and my husband would find out.

Hmmm...

ds4 was flushed and his ears were bright red this afternoon. i asked if he was feeling OK and he said yes, and I felt his forehead, and it felt fine. his behavior seemed fine except that he was very snuggly, which has been the case for the past several days.

he asked several times if we could go get his brother from school, but it wasn't time. finally when it was time, he didn't want to go and began to whine and carry on.

we got to the school and he seemed his fine (bouncy, wound-up) self. we picked up ds8 and came home, they played a bit, then ds4 came to snuggle with me and watch TV while I was on the computer. he snuggled under the blanket. after a bit i asked ds8 if ds4's eyes were open, and he said no. he fell asleep around 4:00.

dh called shortly after that, and he said to just let him sleep, figuring he's either overtired from school and giving up naps, or he's coming down with something. i tried waking him at 5:30, but he wouldn't wake, he was too deeply asleep.

he finally woke before dinner, but wasn't interested in eating. he said his head hurt, so we gave him some motrin. after awhile he perked up and was his usual busy self, and wanted something to eat.

soooooo... i'm thinking that, even though his temp is fine, he's got a bug, and who knows if he'll be going to school tomorrow.

'tis the season, huh?

Thank you Alex! It's not until Monday My family and I may celebrate this weekend. My siblings are coming back for the weekend which means more rockband at my parents house and listening to my mom complain about how the music sounds so noisy

Probably!

I know my parents like that we are having fun together and they don't mind that, they just aren't fans of some of the songs on the game, like loud Rolling Stones songs or something.

my parents paid for my sister and me to take piano lessons when we were kids. they were taught by a little old lady, and they were terribly boring, and we hated going. we sucked it up for 3 years, and then couldnt' take it anymore. we nagged my mom about quitting until she finally said, "Fine, but you will regret this for the rest of your life. And YOU have to go in and tell her!"

So we went up to her house, knocked on the door, and my sister just stood there beaming, waiting for me to talk. So I started to explain about how sorry i was, but we wanted to quit lessons. my sister then said a cheery, "Bye!" and ran back to the car, leaving me on the doorstep. the teacher was very nice about it, said she was sad we weren't continuing but she understood.

i needed an extra few credits in college one quarter, and thought it would be fun to take a beginning piano class. my mom gasped and said, "Don't you wish you had never quit?" I laughed and said, "NO WAY! i hated those lessons!"
